Hello!

All of the dress shops in my city were telling me that the dresses take 6-10 months to come in. I ended up getting a late start, but thankfully my dress came in with plenty of time. My wedding is in November. I ordered my dress in March and was told it would be in in October, but it came in in July!

Have fun shopping!

Absolutely stunning! Love the TTD! I am happy to hear that your dress washed out in the shower - sounds like things couldn't have worked out better :)

BTW in case anyone is wondering- totally do the TTD. Our shoot was about 3 hours long, we enjoyed the alone time, I felt suuuuuuper sexy, we got amazing shots, and yes- the sand comes out because I wore my dress again at my AHR and I did not take it to the cleaners, I cleaned it in the hotel shower! GO FOR IT!!!!!!!

Here's my dress that I wish I could wear again. It looks different standing and sitting.

Hi Jenn,

BEAUTIFUL DRESS! This dress has such a beautiful shape and simplicity to it and for that reason, I would say go without the bling. However, the bling is very nicely done, nicely placed so that it balances the dress and fits in the dress' design very naturally so going with the bling is a good option too!

Love the flare at the bottom of the dress - my dress does that too though so I might be biased! ;)

Good pick :)

After waiting 5 months, the dress finally came in and I had my fitting last weekend and although i love it without any bling...i asked to pin on some appliques to see what it would look like. I still love it without the bling applique...but the rhinestone applique just adds more .... "umph" to it i think....i told the lady that i would think about it...and bring it back if i wanted to add it....i keep looking at the pictures and i'm not sure which one i love more! I wish i could ask my fiance for his opinion lol but it's just not an option.  So ladies,  help me out here!

You look amazing in this dress! You make a beautiful elegant bride. I am so happy that the sand comes out of the dress :) I was a little worried about it.

You look awesome! It is so flattering on you! I personally like it better without the applique. However, I think a bling-y belt/sash would add some sparkle!
I was thinking the same thing! It has so much more movement without the bling on the bottom. I think a belt would look wonderful!

Hello ladies, Happy planning to all! So I finally went dress shopping today for the first time. My wedding is in march of 2014 so I was told I did not have much time. I had this totally different idea of what I wanted to be in and I ended up getting a mermaid with lace on top and a tulle skirt. As soon as I put it on I felt like a bride and started to tear. But walked out and said that I would not commit. My family said that it looked nice but was too much and they wanted to see me in a sexy dress so the two after were Greek goddess looking dresses with lots of bling! Continued to go back to the dress that I felt like a bride in (if this is how it is suppose to feel?) and I bought it. It was 900 and I could have them remove the puffy part (tulle) under the skirt. So I got it!!!!! But now I am second guessing my self saying that I should have tried on more and I can't sleep... So I am up writing!!!! Does this usually happen? This is the picture of my dress... I will have them remove the shoulder piece so that I can snap it on or off depending how I want to look. And remove the bottom http://www.allurebridals.com/assets/1550/2661f.jpg http://www.allurebridals.com/products/2661# I have no idea why I am feeling like I made a mistake when I cried and felt like that was it.... I am also thinking of getting the sexy dress for my reception since I still have room in my budget and my fiancé said it was ok. Thanks ladies any tips would really help right now!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
