I would figure out what color looks best with your skin, and go with that. I'm very fair-skinned, so a light ivory looked better on me. They can make so many shades of ivory, I'm sure you could find a light one.

I think because khaki and ivory are both neutral it'll match well. Most dresses are not super dark. Mine in ivory above and you can see it's fairly light but not the bright white most dresses come in. I say pick what you want! White or ivory will look nice! :)

My dress is just a tinge Ivory. I did not like the bright diamond white when I tried dresses on- but after not seeing my dress for almost a year when I did the inspection I almost cried when I saw the color lol. I felt better once it was on. I feel like the ivory is great especially for evening weddings and I agree that it will contrast nicely with your fiances khaki suit. My fiance is wearing a navy blue suit so the diamond white was to much of a contrast- although I bought my dress way before he decided on a suit. I also like the ivory because let's face it- I live with my fiance and I am not as pure as the snow. Also- not that I am old- but I think the ivory has an air of sophistication. In the end- none of what anyone says will matter. It's all about how you feel in the dress and sometimes the dress we least expect turns out to be the one. Have fun!

My BM told me that be careful with the color Ivory as in some scenarios it can look dirty. But i love Ivory!

I bought a Ramona Keveza dress second hand (and saved $1800, woo hoo!) These photos are from last summer before any alterations. I'm going to be getting the alterations done in March, including beading all the way down the back, and will also be wearing a sash on my wedding day. The veil I'm wearing in the last photo isn't mine, that's just the one the shop had for me to try on. Mine has a clip with lace and pearls rather than a flower.

Yes, they are painted calalilies. They turned out much better than i expected, and I'm getting tons of compliments on them. Your fuchsia and orange will really pop against the turquoise water and white sand beach backdrop...great pick ;)

Thanks! I had my first fitting last week and am going for my second tomorrow! They're rushing it for me because I'm only in Vancouver for three weeks before heading back to Mexico. Hopefully everything will be good to go at the fitting tomorrow and I can take the dress home with me! I'll share the updated photos with the alterations after the fitting tomorrow :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
