I thought I would get an idea of what I liked and of how much weight I have to lose lol. But there was this one dress I really liked. Now I'm torn between trying on more dresses to see what else is out there or just buying that dress. Theres a trunk sale at the store this weekend so it makes it even more stressful for me. Help! I want to upload a pic but Im on my phone and don't know how to. confused.gif

My best advise is not to rush this experience unless you truely have a time crunch. I would try on more dresses and if in the end your heart brings you back to this one atleast you will have the reassurnace from the expereience that you made the right choice. Good luck.

Gorgeous gown. You look resplendent. I say go with the sash! I like the extra pop it adds. I love lace- its timeless and elegant. I'm curious about the first dress too! Post a picture. What are the odds! HAHA once we became engaged and I would look through bridal magazines and ask my fiance his opinions he would say "I'm not saying anything because I don't want to stop you from your dream dress with my opinions and if I say I don't like it I don't want to break your heart." Once I got my gown- I actually did show him the pics of all the dresses I tried on- with the exception of "the one" and I asked what he thought and he refused to say anything because he was worried if he nayed a style close to my choice, he would offend me. He also refused to look at them for a very long time. And he will not say anything when I watch SYTTD because he thinks I'm trying to bait him into commenting on a dress similar to mine. He is convinced I have already shown him the pic because he thinks its one of the ones I didn't pick. What are the odds that he would comment on your actual gown? That's insane! But I'm glad you found an alternative you love even more than the first. What will you do with the first gown? Will you sell it? Or use it for a TTD? Or change into it for the reception?

Hello Ladies,

I have something i'm concerned about and would love some feedback. I bought my dress in february and the sample size fit me like a glove but the consultant talked me into ordering a size up because it's a mermaid style and she said it would be better to get it custom altered to my body, sounded good at the time. WELL since then I've lost just under 20 pounds and now the dress is MASSIVE and i'm super worried about  the alterations. I'm hoping the dress comes out of the alterations looking the same.

Anyone else had a similar issue?? and how did your dress turn out?

Bestbride I think it really depends on the detail of The gown itself, but I think you will be ok. From what I understand a general rule of alterations thumb is two sizes up or down. Honestly I feel like she shouldn't have talked you into ordering a size up, especially if your getting alterations done there. Seems like a sales lady ploy to get u out of buying a cheaper sample.... Just my opinion though. I'm sure it will work out great though! What dress did you pick?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
