I have my first fitting tonight, so I'll have to have my mom take some pics for me!

We thought about just letting him see it, but our moms had more to say about it than we did, so he and I decided he wouldn't see it in advance for them. They're not pushy with wedding stuff for the most part, but its something they were pretty vocal about LOL

I say keep the strap too. It really helps to tie in the bottom of the dress. :)

Yeah, I never heard of that either. You never know until you put the dress on. If you feel absolutely beautiful and can see yourself walking in the dress, then it's the one!

MissBliss and ckrn, I love your dresses! You both look so beautiful!

JessiTaylor,

My friend and I got married in Jamaica a few days apart. My dress was sheath and hers was puffy. As it turns out my dress was heavier and warmer than her big puffy dress. I guess size does not always mean warmth/heaviness... If you know what I mean...

So if you want to wear puffy dress you should go ahead and wear it. As Janet said, if you wear bikini you still will be hot :D

Good Luck!

I love your pictures! I was just thinking about what you said about not discounting the bigger dresses -so you weren't too hot?! I love some of the bigger dresses but im worried about overheating and generally being a sweaty mess =S

Fiance has suggested i wear a bigger dress for the church ceremony and legal ceremony (and photos) and then something simple for the reception so im thinking about that - seems a bit extravangant though!

Thanks :-) It was kinda awkward, so I couldn't get any pics, but we chopped out the hoopskirt, a bunch of crinolines, turned into a semi-sweetheart neckline and changed the train to a sweep train. I am so excited to see how it looks at the second fitting!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
