Just in case you don't get an answer from the poster - it's Ronald Joyce, Lucy. I fell in love with it when I first saw an ad, but I didn't track it down to try on because I don't feel that the satin skirt would work well on the beach.  It's also from a very pricey designer.

This looks gorgeous!!!!  I've tried on many similar, mermaid style dresses, but I never feel quite comfortable in them.  I would totally try this one on if I could find it locally. And I'm so glad to hear that you found something you love after so long - I've been searching for only a month, and I feel so discouraged already.  The one dress that I do love and can totally see myself wearing in the WTOO Desdemona, but it's more than I would like to spend, and I don't think my mom really loves it.  I will have to hold out hope that I find something I really really love just like you did :)

melfaybik - gorgeous dress! I looked all over CO too; I swear I had heard somewhere that dress shopping was fun & that everyone looks great in a wedding dress. Whatever!! I finally chose one of the first few I had tried on. I like it a lot, but never got that super-excited THIS is the dress feeling. I'm glad that after all that searching, you did!

I got super lucky with my dress last weekend. My fiance and I were browsing websites for the perfect dress. There were a few that I loved, but the ones I did were not right for my Jamaican wedding. I came across a new David Tutera dress....this was the first dress I showed my fiance that he was like "oooh...I like it". I showed my mom, sister, and grandparents....they all loved it as well. I looked up stores online...there was only 1 store that sold David Tutera in the state of South Carolina! When I called, they said they had a few David Tutera dresses, but not the "Molly" dress I requested! They did say they would be able to get a loaner and it would cost $30-40. After speaking with the company, they said it would cost $100

(to rush the loaner) but that would go towards my dress if I chose to purchase it (or any bridal gown in the store). That made me nervous....I tried on a few dresses that looked pretty, but I didn't love anything...or come close. Even my fiance joked that I better walk away with SOME kind of bridal gown from that store after I paid that!  I didn't know if I wanted to take such a large gamble flying in my dress and it not working! After debating with my mom and fiance, I decided to go ahead and get the loaner.

Luckily, the owner said she pulled some strings and got the model's dress from the runway (so it would fit better)....she warned me not to wear makeup that day! My mom drove 12 hours to see me in my dress. When we got to the store there was almost NO bridal dresses...just a 2-3 racks. It was clear they catered to the prom crowd. I was nervous because if this didn't work, I would have thrown away $100 and probably couldn't find anything else in that store! When I finally tried it on, it fit me perfectly....length and waist. There was absolutely no alternations needed for the dress....and everyone loved it. It seemed like it was made for me! I can't wait to wear it on my wedding!!!

I just bought my dress yesterday!

It is a Maggie Sottero dress- Caprice.  It is made of chiffon and has crystal beaded straps and a t-back.  I love it!  We are getting married in St. Lucia next year and I wanted something that reflected my style (not princessy, figure flattering but still comfortable).

That is my daughter in the picture with me:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
