My work does a shutdown over the 4th of July, so I was on vacation this week and couldn't help but dress shop. I hit 3 stores and found a dress I love and it is on sale (15% off). My question to all of you is: should I buy the dress now while it is on sale even though it is 16-17 months before my wedding?
HELLZ YEAH !!!!! WOW WOW !! get it girl !

When you see the one you love, get it! Otherwise next year when you start dress shopping, all you'll be looking for is this one, and you'll never find it again!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies! I plan on going and ordering that dress tomorrow.

One more question: Do you think that mermaid with the ruffles will do well for a TTD shoot or should I think of ordering a flowy chiffon/organza knock-off?

YES! ... I love it!

A co-worker is getting married Sept 2011 and she's had her dress for 3 or 4 months already :)

I am going to try and upload pictures of me in the dress (hopefully it will work - this will be my first attempt at uploading). Sorry for the other bride in the background of the "front" picture. BTW - I am getting married in Mexico, so I thought the ruffles were a nice touch.

Gorgeous dress!

I am wearing a mermaid dress for the day of and have no plans of finding a 2nd dress for TTD session, I figure if this is 'the' dress might as well get as many pictures as possible in it :) but maybe thats just me

Hi Courtney,

It's a TTD for your wedding dress...not a different dress! I say do it :) Plus most people I have spoken to say that jumping into a pool or the ocean didn't seem to affect the dress at all. Once the TTD is done, just rinse the dress off in the shower and let it dry!
Hope you got the dress of your dreams! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
