DREAMS LOS CABOS BRIDE Sept 28, 2013- Need lots of advice!

Hello! I have booked Dreams Los Cabos for Sept 28, 2013 and need lots of HELP!

My WC is Yesica & as i have seen on all the other posts, they are all very slow to respond. I have been looking around and I see a lot of great reviews on Yarai, and she has her own wedding planning co & i must say, I feel relieved to have someone who answers me within 24 hours!

So now I have a lot of details to figure out & could use some advice.

How did the gazebo turn out for your ceremony?

How about the minister- did you book them through Dreams?

In Sept, will it be really hot?

I see a LOT of DIY stuff that i love on here, but how practical was it to bring things to Los Cabos? Do you really save money in the long run?

how far ahead did you tell your guests about your plans?

Recommendations on photographers/videographers?

Hair and makeup?

I dont even know where to begin & starting to panic! HELP! and thank you!!!

First step, don't panic!  Your wedding will be amazing!

Next, congratulations on setting your date!

Dreams Los Cabos is a gorgeous resort and you'll be thrilled, I'm sure.

The gazebo is beautiful.  If you have a lot of guests they will wrap the chairs more in a semi circle around it.  Everyone has a beautiful view of the gazebo and the beach.  It works lovely!

All of the brides that I've photographed have brought down DIY stuff.  Typically they will have an entire suitcase devoted to it, so depending on your airline, it could get costly, but I think it's still worth it.  Not only moneywise, but also in the personalized touches.  Your guests will appreciate them and it'll make your wedding day more memorable, if you ask me.

I would send out Save the Dates ASAP as to give your guests plenty of time to save, but also to plan their vacation time for the year.  The earlier the better.

There are FANTASTIC photographers in the Cabo area, and there is always the option of flying out a photographer too.  It really depends on your budget and your style.

For Hair and Makeup, I recommend Neysa of Blanc Salon.  She did a fabulous job at one of the weddings I photographed and I highly recommend her.

So, where to start... I would send out your save the dates so that your family and friends can join you!  Then I would nail down your ceremony location and the reception location and start planning the details from there.  Thankfully, with 10 months to plan, you have plenty of time.

Congrats princym! yes, you're off to a great start already with choosing a gorgeous venue for your Big Day! and joining this forum community :) where you have access to all the resources of your fellow brides - both past + coming up - in their various planning stages.

I would also suggest booking your photographer asap - to capture all those magical wedding "moments that matter" - the culmination of all the detailed planning work you're putting in now! to create that picture perfect record of your wedding - which will carry you right back to it, every time you look at them :) and not only you and your partner-for-life, but for everyone who couldn't join you on that day, and all those for generations still to come...

........ can you imagine if you had shots like these of your grandparents?......Priceless!

I'm 5 months away from my wedding at Dreams Los Cabos on 7/27/13 :) So exciting.

Not sure how far you are NOW but feel free to contact me with any questions.

Happy Planning!

hola princym - welcome + Congrats!!! when looking for the right photographer, the key is to find one whose work touches your heart and resonates with you when you look at it :) then, to narrow it down to someone who is also within your budget.......that's the ONe for you :)

Best of luck, and happy research!.......Cheers :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
