Hi ladies!

We are getting married October 5 at Dreams Resort in Punta Cana, DR.  I have a few things done, as I have my OOT bags and most of the contents.  I am going dress shopping next month, so we'll see how that goes.

Look forward to planning with all of you brides!

AHHHHHHH OK :) and for OOT bags .. you did 30 of them ?!

or 15 bags, one for each couple?

When are you guys sending out invites? We have all of the details for our invites now and I just need to tell them that I want them printed.  We already did a save the date a year out, but i've heard of people doing invites 5 or 6 months out? I know there will be people booking through other sites (we used destinationweddings.com) because they THINK they can get better deals so I'll need to get their RSVP.  Thus, the invites are really only for RSVP purposes.  Most of the people who I know are coming have already put down their deposit through our site.

I don't think it's too early to send the actual invite if you have all the info! People will surely appreciate the extra time to pay for their trip. We are sending our save the dates next week...we don't have all the info yet for flights, etc....still working on that! But, a lot of our family and friends already know the dates and have started budgetting accordingly. I am thinking our actual invites will go out 6 months before. Also, we have a website that we'll include on our save the date for people to be aware of all the developments!

I am planning 1 per couple, but have a few extras because there should be a few single people as well.

As for the invites, I plan to send ours out mid April.so it's about 5 1/2 mos out from the wedding date, but only 3 months out from the deadline to book in the group booking.

how long will you give them to RSVP ?

I was thinking of sending them mid-March (only because I don't want to wait too long to get new quotes from TA) but I don't know how long to give them to respond. I don't want to give them too long, because they are going to forget about it.. lol

The ultimate deadline for me to know exactly the number of guest is end of July , since I plan on ordering all my goodies and stuff at that time to give me enough time for shipments coming from China etc.

Ok, i think we're all on the same page.  I'm going to mail mine April 1st and have an RSVP by May 31st.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
