Tough order!

Cancun specifically, or the Riviera Maya?

Do you want to get married on the beach, in a gazebo, under a canopy, in a garden...

Do you want an outdoor reception, private reception?

Do you want a large resort or a small intimate resort?

Do you want nightlife at the resort?

What is the budget per couple for 5 nights?

I would start by looking up tripadvisor.com let's say for the 25 best resorts in Cancun/Riviera Maya. Then one by one you eliminate them if something doesn't work for you (ex: adults only etc.) This is what I did for DR, and I finished the process with a top 3, then went and asked TA for quotes for these 3...

Good luck :)

Congrats Jennifer! + welcome to the forum :) have you looked at any of the Barcelo Resorts? they have a range of pricing options + restaurant choices, as well as the buffets, and have excellent family friendly areas, as well as seperate adult-only pool areas for those who prefer them.

There are also location options for your wedding + reception - ie beach, gazebo or indoors.........could be worth checking out :)

all the best with your plans and have the amazing wedding of your dreams here in our incomparable Mayan Riviera! Enjoy :)

Welcome to BDW Jennifer!

There are so many wonderful resorts to choose from! I personally got married at the Azul Sensatori about 2 years ago and LOVED it. It has fantastic food and service, nice rooms, only about 440 rooms (so not to big) and a great kids club.

Check out the resort reviews forums as well. And if you think you might be interested in an Azul resort, and want help planning try one of the BDW Travel Agents.  They Specialize in Destination weddings and are a Karisma GIVC certified Travel Agency.  They are also one of Karisma Hotel's top accounts so they have great promotions that are only available to them.  You can contact them HERE!

If you have not booked your date, you will definitely want to contact them so they can help book your Karisma Bride's Dress Rehearsal - 3 nights for $399 that no longer becomes available once you have booked your wedding date.

You can read some of their reviews here: Wright Travel Agency ~ Destination Wedding Specialist Reviews HERE

Good luck with your planning, and if you have any questions just ask,

Murmel

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
