Cabo Wedding Coordinator

hi there,

jend is right...if you are on a budget and having a wedding at a larger resort that has their own WC you may not need an outside coordinator.

lovely weddings is on the forum alot and tasha is using them.

raina used blanca and really loved her.

do NOT use Weddings in Paradise! they have had many complaints and one of our poor brides just had to fire them.

Yes, yes, WIP sucks.. BAD. I was the soon to be bride that tried to work with them for 6 months and ended up ending the contract and loosing money because I was more stressed with them as our WC. Right now I'm trying to decide between Maye C. or Rosy with Lovely Weddings. I just came back from cabo on Friday morning and was suppose to meet with both of them, but here was a mix up and I wasn't able to meet with Rosy so I'm now trying to set something up with her to go over details over the phone before I make my finial decision.

I agree with what everyone else said, if you plan to make your wedding legal in the states instead of Cabo, you can very easily do this on your own and save the money of a WC. That is unless you plan on having a lot of guests then I would recommend a day of coordinator.

Please feel free to ask us questions, we have a lot of great girls on this forum who will make this process a lot easier for you.

I worked with Maye and the hotel had an onsite coordinator as well. I really liked working with Maye and highly recommend her. She did a great job pre-wedding and during the wedding she supervised the vendors that she contracted.

If your hotel has an onsite coordinator - all the better. I clearly delineated jobs for our onsite vs. what Maye was doing. The hotel coordinator was the face on the ground (coordinating the photographer with us cutting the cake with the fireworks in the background starting as we cut the cake) and Maye was behind the scenes. It really went smoothly.

I am go temporarily hijack this thread - sorry.

I am emailed Maye twice about doing coordination - just day of - but haven't heard back from her. I know I read she's getting busy - but really, I just want to hire her! I only have her email from her website. Does anyone have any other email address for her? Did it take her awhile to get back to others?

Maye is coordinating my day-of activities along with a few other things. A few times I have not heard back from her & then I forward the original email again & she gets right back to me & says she didn't get my original email. So, I would definitely try her again - your emails may get filtered to her spam folder. The email I have for her is: maye@mayecortinas.com

it can take a little while to hear back from her...also since your wedding is not until dec. 2008 she is probably taking care of the weddings she has in the early spring right now...you should hear back from her soon...if not in a by next week i will shoot her an email.

I can't believe she's so busy doing a great job for brides who have a wedding soon that she can't drop everything and email me who has over a year to plan. Jeez! She's rude. (please read a LOT of sarcasm into that one).

Thanks girls - I'll just keep trying.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
