Makeup in Playa del Carmen

Recommended Posts

Hello girls,

I am getting married in a month and I still don't have a makeup artist!. I didn't expect it to be this expensive (500 usd upwards)! Does anyone has any suggestions of more affordable make up but still good? I have good quotes of Tania Tagle and Angie Velasquez but I haven't found any reviews about them! I'm stressing out and although I know Fernando is amazing I don't know if I can afford him or Styling Trio and MVP is asking me for 2 extra services from my guests (and I cannot commit to it). Any recommendations will be great! Thank you!!!

I recommend Fernando from The Makeup Pros.  themakeuppros@hotmail.com

His team did the hair and makeup for the August wedding I photographed, if you click the link you can see their pictures to see how it looked... and also see who Fernando is!: Gran Bahia Principe Tulum

He uses MAC and was fabulous.

oh that sucks. hows your spanish? bodaclick.com.mx is a good website if you can read spanish and write to the vendors - it has vendors, offers etc

this is for hair and makeup in the whole cancun area (it does have a catergory specifically for playa del carmen, but a lot of the others will travel)

Costs in pesos are nearly always better than costs in dollars

this is the link specifically for playa del carmen

i think normal makeup will look great too if you cant find airbrush. style me (one of the vendors on that website) does hair/makeup for 2200 pesos (160 dollars ish)

Hi Yzzel. I would suggest contacting Aida Tantadell. She did my makeup in May, and was really great. She has a salon in downtown PDC, but will also come to you for weddings. it was $200, and she didn't require any other people to get there makeup done. She is really sweet, though the only challenge is that her English is pretty limited. That said, we had no problem between her English and my broken Spanish. She's a real pro and knows what she's doing. She uses MAC makeup, and I know she does airbrush as well. ( that might cost more than the $200, but I didn't get that.) Her number is: (52) 984 873 3910 Her salon is constitutuyentes and Ave. 10 Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
