Sore subject! Not often enough in my man's opinion, but I think most guy's feel that way - at least that my friend's and I are always joking about!!

Great topic! Ha! This has been a difficult subject over the course of our relationship. In the begining - like 5 times/week. Then came the kids & we were down to once a week. Then I got a shitty job & hated life & was depressed, down to once a month. Now, we are pretty good on average for once a week. Although this week it's been twice.

 

It's just so hard as you get into the meat of a relationship to put everything aside & just have sex. I really have to focus on mentally letting go of life & just try to be in the moment. I wish I could be the horney little 25 year old I once was for my husband!

OK, so Cain and I are the type of people that when were stressed all we want to do is go to bed or be lazy. So rewind time back to when we first moved in our home a couple years ago, yeah that was the time we had our first house guest so "alone" time was pretty rare. Then she moves out,, GREAT 1-2 times a week, then 3 months later MIL moves in, now were back to "if were lucky" one time a month.. Ok so she moves out we are deep in wedding planning mode working tons of OT to pay for it, yeah still about once a month on average.. YEAH wedding here maybe things will pick up.. Well they did, not because it's not hard to have alone time with a house guest right downstairs, but we are TTC so we average about 3-4 times a week on most weeks in hopes for a BFP

LOL! Good thread. 2-3x week for us. It was more like 5-6 when we first met, but things have fizzled a bit since we live together now --but it's still pretty decent. Sometimes he wants it more, sometimes I do. :-)

Oh lordy..definate sore subject. If I can't remember the last time we had sex, is that a bad thing?? I understand he's stressed at work and he lost his father a year ago and still torn up about that..but the last time we did it he asked "why don't we do this more often??!!"

Come on FI, just DO ME you ever think that's why I get crabby alot?? lack of lovin?? I suppose I could initiate it but dammit I want to feel wanted!

Ok obviously when we first met it was like everyday AWWW and you never thought that would end, all your married friends would tell you that the sex wont last but you truly in your heart believe that this amazing lust for one another will last for ever.

6 years later we are down to once a week on a good month. At the least maybe 3 times a month. Honestly the good thing is that we are both pretty much on the same page neither one of us wants it much more or much less. Really why have sex when there are so many good shows on T.V.?

It depends on how much I work- which directly translates to how much time we actually see eachother. Yes, you do have to be in the same house in order to get the deed done (well, there's always phone sex, but that's kinda hard to accomplish where I work! lol). Since I've been working 60+ hrs a week since I don't know when, we're down to 2-3 times a week, although often 4. When we first started dating it was that many times a day! How far we've fallen... I think we're both pretty satisfied at this point, and if we're not, we talk about it, and someone will give in for the sake of the other (that's usually me).

Well, honestly it varies a bit. I think a fair average would be a couple times per week. I prefer it to be more like 4 times per week....but he seems to be happy w/ once or twice per week. Which is nuts to me...but apparently I'm a freak.

 

It used to be a sore subject 'cause I took it very personally when he didn't want to. But then one of my girlfriends was griping about her FI wanting it all the time and her just not being in the mood....that it wasn't like she didn't love him, or think he's sexy, good in bed etc...it was just that she flat out wasn't interested at that moment. It was honestly a little hard to wrap my head around but hearing it from her perspective helped a lot.

 

That being said. . .I've learned not to freak out if he doesn't want to...and to basically demand it when I've had enough of waiting! lol! He's a pretty good sport about it since I'm not as persistant as I used to be...he realizes I'm trying. So he "tries back" when I need him to. :-)

We usually manage to squeeze in 2-3 times a week, sometimes more if we are in Boston over the weekend (which is definitely a rare occurence).

 

Funny story: last night we got into bed around 11 and I announced that although we were both exhausted, we should do the dirty. FI said "sounds good" and then... nothing. Apparently we both assumed the other would be doing the work... after about 20 minutes of arguing we both decided that catching up on Survivor was a good compromise... sigh
