Cymbidium orchid grower

Recommended Posts

Merryme,

Yes mine will be green orchids and ivory roses, I was planning on 7 orchids and 5 roses, now I'm thinking the bouquet will be too small. I don't want a huge bouquet but I'm looking for something small/med size. I want the roses to be forced slightly open.

Are you using any greenery with the orchids and roses? Also I think your wedding is small? so I think a smaller to medium bouquet is perfect! I would go and buy some roses from Costco or the grocery store and bunch them together so that you can get an idea of size. Make sure you try your wedding dress with them and take a quick digital pic so you can see what it would look like.

Tammy I am sooooooooo late on this but I have made bouquets before and yes you should plan on using more roses. I'd suggest at a dozen, seven orchids is a perfect number. I agree with merry me, try Costco or Sams and hold five roses together. If they are blooming then of course they will take up more room, but most of the time they are in the in between stage.

We actually were going to use them. I was going to use lime green, brown and red for my colors... but I fell in love with the drowned red roses! Plus I'm always changing my mind !! I amost always change my mind in the very end.

One other reason was that I thought the red would look better in the pictures AND I was right!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
