I also want to know this! I'm totally against the tanning bed, but I really don't think going just before the wedding is too bad. I currently am a spray tanner but I def do not want to spray tan for the wedding! Meghan, originally I was thinking a month prior to the wedding, but now I'm thinking 2 months prior and going like every 2-3 days. What do you think?

I am VERY fair skinned and I started tanning 6 weeks before just so I wont burn while in Mexico. I go about twice a week and have been seeing results. Definately find a salon that has good beds and that change their bulbs!

Just so you ladies know even with a base tan you can still burn! It never seems to fail that every time that i go on vacation even with pre tanning a month or so in advance I will bun my face... I am thinking big hats!!!

As for lotion go for tsomething that smells great, there are bronzers that are good but with the cooling lotion they tingle and feel really strange!

Shannon, I too spray tan and am against bed tanning, but as anyone who spray tans knows it really only looks good the first couple of days and extended time in pools and ocean make it fade quicker and uneven. I fly into Mexico on a Monday and my wedding is on Friday so that's out. I really have only done tanning beds once or twice so I'm clueless? I think two months out might be a good idea as I would like to be tan for my bachelorette party as well. But really I have no idea...

I bought mine from sally's beauty for $15 and its working great!
I didn't know Sally's sold tanning lotion! That's great to know. Tanning lotions are crazy expensive! I've looked online & there seems to be all these warnings about purchasing lotion online. I'll def check out Sally's. I agree Meghan! I love my spray tan but your so right about it only looking the best the first few days. Especially with the pool & ocean! It'll wear off well before the wedding!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
