When you get a wedding package, the max of 35 people is what they will pay for. You can invite as many people as you want but you will pay for the extra people. The resort is pretty easy to work with when it comes to adding guests. We got the free wedding and they even allowed us to credit the semi-private wedding for 20 towards our private wedding. They are willing to help a lot as long as you are willing to ask the questions.
Royal Playa Del Carmen 2014
My fianc© and I are getting married in May 2014 as well. Im a newbie to BDW, but I have reviewed so many post that have been so helpful. I was hoping someone would be able to help with a situation Im having with the resort. We opted for the luxury package and are looking to have about 50-60 people at our wedding. My fianc© and I love music and we want to have a friend DJ our wedding. He will be staying at the resort for 2 nights. We have been going back and forth with our coordinator to see if we can have the vendor waived bc our friend/DJ is staying at the resort and we need to rent Dj speakers from the DJ's resort, but they are telling us that they can only give us a 20% discount off the vendor fee. So we have the vendor fee and the rental of the speakers for $400.
Has anyone been able to waive the vendor fee?
