El Dorado Wedding~more pictures

I was actually considering using Sol Tamargo as my photographer. She is based out of Cancun. I love her photos! She and Matt are engaged. I think he is based out of South Carolina. Apparently, they now travel together photographing weddings. They are both awesome photographers! You can tell from Sol's blog that she really loves her work. Here is a link to her blog....

Thats great info. I want an exceptionally good photographer and I am willing to pay for it, but it kinda kills me to think of paying one to travel to RM. I will if I have to though. There has got to be a great photographer somewhere in the RM/Cancun area. I just cant seem to find them yet. Maybe if Sol is based in Cancun then I wont have to pay a traveling fee.

For some reason I thought I you had said that he had gotten back to you and was willing to travel. Sorry, I think all these different posts are starting to mesh in my head as one big post. OOPs!

Great! I cant wait to hear what he says. I'm still a good 6 months out from booking these vendors but I love to hear what other people have booked or are planning to book and what the possible options are for me in the near future.

Yes I am, and the pictures look amazing!! Thinking of getting in touch just to find out some quotes but budget is a big factor! (unfortunatly!) FH and I are saving for our first home so are trying to keep as under budget as possible. But they are really nice pics......hmmmm.....!

ann, juan does travel...he is possibly doing a wedding in san francisco and has been contacted for a cancun wedding...

you should email him at juan@juancarlostapia.com

and tell him you were referred off the forum and see what his rates are if he has to travel.

Hi, I am a newbie here and just saw this thread. What an awesome pictures. I just requested availability from Sol Tamargo photography on May 26th, 2007 and she is not available. She did refer this other great photographer ( i believe based out of AZ) -

http://www.sergiophotographer.com

His rates start at $4,000 though. I emailed asking for information, will post it when i found out anything.

Another great photographer I know of who is not charging too much is

www.studiocontempo.com (based out of CT but available for travelling). It's so difficult to hire a good photographer for specific dates. They are all booked up.

Hi, I'm a newbie as well. I actually found this forum from a link about the El Dorado Royale. I'm getting married there in June. Anyway, just wanted to join the photographer discussion. I've heard great things about Sol. I booked Tamm for my wedding and have heard good reviews about her. Her website is http://www.tammsphotos.com/info/, if you are interested. She does not charge extra for travel.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
