Thank you for contacting the KODAK Gallery Customer Service Team. We appreciate your email to the Gallery regarding how to share photos with
others. Sharing photos from your web site is very simple. To share photos from
your web page, follow these steps:

1. You, the owner, upload pictures to your account at the Gallery.

2. Share the photo to yourself by putting your own email address in the
"To" section. Be sure to uncheck the box that requires your friends to sign in
from the invitation page.
3. You will receive an email notification of your shared album. The body of
the message will contain the URL of your album.

4. Place the URL on your site and it will link to your shared album.

Thank you for contacting the KODAK Gallery Customer Service Team.

We appreciate your email back to us in regards to your shared photos. If you
require your friends to sign in to view your albums, your album will be saved
under a "My Friends' Albums" link. This will basically save the shared album so
you are able to view that album at any time you would like. This will only apply
to people that you have shared that albums with; unless that person shares that
album to someone else.

Shared albums (albums that you did not create yourself) cannot be edited,
copied, downloaded or deleted. However, you can view photos, make comments and
order Prints from shared albums.

The exception is that you can make cropping adjustments to shared photos from
the Cart by following the steps below:

1. Place the photo in the Cart.
2. Click “Adjust Cropping†under the photo.
3. With “Adjust Croppingâ€, you can:
• Turn Zoom & Trim on/off.
• Turn Kodak Perfect Touch on/off.
• Zoom in and out.
• Change the positioning of the photo within the preview frame.

NOTE: These changes are only applied to the photos within the Cart, not to the
photos within the album.
I setup a new account with kodak, so I have two. I am giving the login and password information for the new one to our guests, so that everyone can post in the same place and view.

Then if I want to order some of the pictures, I can email the share link to myself and open it using my own account login information and I'll be able to access all the pictures and order from there. And my friends and family will be able to do the same.

I didn't want people emailing me links to pics from kodak, shutterfly, snapfish, etc... too much of a PITA

I think it's better to avoid something that requires guest to download a program (Picasa, Kodak easy share) and use one like snapfish or shuterfly.
You don't have to download the kodak program. I know what you're talking about because the same thing happened to my dad with his computer, he got a CD I think with his camera and thats why he downloaded it and he has the same problem with attachments.

However, you don't need to download the kodak program to use their website for downloading pictures, it works the same as any other pictures sharing site.

That's good to know. It's the Kodak Easy Share software that I didn't like. I've never used the website so I didn't know how it worked.

Will the kodak website let you download a high res image for free?

Yeah, I don't like the software either, it really messes my dad up when he tries to open an attachment, he's already computer illiterate it really makes it more difficult for him.

Not sure about the high res image, I've never tried. I don't even know if I've ever ordered pictures through any of the photo sites. I have SO many pics from my digital camera that I've never had printed!

He should uninstall it. It was very easy to remove. Or next time you are at his house, uninstall it for him. I was so happy when i took it off my computer. I was nervous to do that because I was scared it would mess up my pictures, but they were fine.

Once you have an account, it's very easy to upload pictures. You can easily download your pictures (for free) in a resolution high enough to order an 11x14 print. You can also click a button that takes you to snapfish to order prints of your pictures if you want to do it that way.

So far it has everything I'm looking for. The only problem is I don't think you can create a group room like the others. Everyone would be making their own individual pages. I still need to spend more time on it. If there is a way to make a group room, I think this website would be the best option.

This is everything I'm looking for in a website:
-Easy for guests to upload pictures without downloading software (other tha the Active x control uploading tools)

-easy option for ordering prints

-ability to download a high resolution of the image if you want to photoshop it or use it in another project (preferably free)

So far snapfish fits this the best, but downloads are 5 cents a picture. The snapfish download process is also easy. On some websites you have to download each picture one at a time. Snapfish allows 50 at a time.
Thanks for the research. Keep us updated I would really like to find the easiest and best group sharing site for all my guests

I right clicked a picture on photobucket & saved it. Then uploaded it into snapfish. The resolution was high enough you could print it in an 8x10. So that might be a good option for sharing. Then your pictures will already be on photobucket ready to share with us!

Is there an easier way to upload an entire album to photobucket & not have to do it one picture at a time? If not, I think it would take to long for guest to upload.

Oh wait, I just saw it. It's new & called bulk uploaded. Awesome!

You can also order prints of photobucket. They are 15 cents a print. Thats a little higher than most.

Kodak EasyShare Gallery is the top choice because of its good print quality. Snapfish is the second choice. Editors liked its "good prints and reasonable prices." Shutterfly has good prints but higher prices. Yahoo!'s printing is inconsistent but the service has numerous editing features. Wal-Mart Photo Center is the last choice due to its "dismal print quality."

Great article, Julie. has me leaning towards Kodak for sure. Thanks! I hadn't even thought this far ahead yet, but good to know I need to start thinking about it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
