June 2013 brides- what are you doing?

Recommended Posts

I am carrying my own in its bag. I would love to roll it up and put it in a carry on as it is heavy, but our resort has no way of steaming and my dress' material is one that will for sure wrinkle. they told me not to even lay it across my arm so Im going to be looking awesome walking with it over my head, arm up and all! hah.  im just going to board early and ask if they can put it in the closet because honestly i think its too big to lay in an overhead! we did get first class so im hoping that helps cause we can board early.
Not sure how much time you have left, but you may want to buy a portable steamer. They pack pretty well and don't take that much space. I'm bringing two for the girls and the guys just in case anything gets wrinkled.

My mom went out and bought a steamer this week to bring down with us. Is it just me or does anyone else keep buying clothes for the trip but feel like they have nothing!?
I'm right there with you! I'm a complete mess!! Can't seem to catch up with myself and we leave Wednesday!! Keep buying clothes yet cant find essenti things like wedding earrings!! Ughhh! I almost just broke into tears at FedEx when the sweet girl gave us about $500 worth of color printing for free because the welcome booklets were going to be about $700+ and I had no plan B this close to departure! And I keep looking at the weather predictions and they're looking UGLY for Saturday so that's adding to my stress!! Ughhhhh!

I wouldn't stress the room situation at this point in the game...let her figure it out, she's the one who's plans changed and you already have enough on your plate! That being said... I successfully packed all my decor and welcome bag goodies into 2 extra suitcases. I'm so glad that I decided to ditch the extra votives candles bc they wouldn't have fit anyways!

Ahhhhhhhh!! We leave tomorrow and I'm feeling completely overwhelmed! A wedding threw up all over our house...every room filled with piles of things...glitter covering every inch of the kitchen...I never want to see another do-it-yourself project...clothes unpacked...stressing out!!! 12 of my guests are already down there and all I want to do is say F-it and leave everything here, take a swim suit and head down there to relax without dealing with a wedding!! Lolol!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
