I'm pretty much all ready for the big day. I need to order our chair sashes and pick up my dress on 5/15. Other than that, it's time to sit back & relax.... Countdown is 37 days until we leave!

Got our wedding bands tonight! He said he wanted something "cheap", I went in with a loose budget wanting to see what looked best with my ring (three stone round brilliant). Well what do you know, what I liked best with my bling was a simple thin white gold band which was inexpensive and I. The end his cost much more then mine! He will not live this down for quite a while haha!

Hey Everyone, Just back from Eleuthera!  It was my MOH's wedding (she's also my MOH).

It was beautiful and I learned a few things...

1)  They kept the ceremony very short and sweet.. no readings, no programs, no sand ceremony.. it was actually beautiful!

2)  All inclusive is key!  The wedding was in Eleuthera and guests stayed in apartments.  Since most didn't have cars, they had limited access to the supermarket and food was extremely expensive.  A case of beer was $45, a gallon of milk as $8!  Entrees at the 2 restaurants were also expensive.  However, Bride and Groom hosted a cocktail party (Fri) and a rehearsal dinner bonfire (Sat) before the wedding (Sun).  Food was awesome!

3)  I didn't want Matt to see me before the ceremony but now I will surprise him at the courtyard of the hotel so we can take some pictures before the wedding.  It was so wonderful to see the groom's reaction when he saw the bride for the first time!

4) Couple didn't do a rehearsal the day before.  There was no need for it because the ceremony was very simple.. we were just told where to go minutes before the ceremony and it was so easy... I'm considering that.

5) My MOH was so calm during the entire weekend.. she just had fun and went with the flow.  If something went wrong, we didn't see it.. so I will be packing that same positive attitude with me when I pack my bags to Mexico!

Fun Fact - she got married on Mother's day weekend and I'm getting married on Father's day weekend!  We must share a brain.. lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
