June 2013 brides- what are you doing?

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies, I never thought I would say this but I reading all your posts are making me nervous!  I don't have my guest count so I haven't done anything related to OOT.  I haven't thought of ceremony details, etc.. my dress will only be ready end of May..  Am I screwed or what??  So much going on here..

Don't worry! I felt the same way reading all this stuff! I saw all these awesome projects and I'm like I don't even know what vistaprint is or how to use it!! I tried it, fretted that all my welcome bag stuff wouldn't match like these awesome talented ladies' do but then I just said no biggie! I still put thought and detail into everything I'm doing. One thing that helped me is I made a big list of everything that has to get done from music selections to my brooch bouquet to ordering BM dresses to buying a garter. Then I separated that list into months based on how long it would take, not doing it too early etc. (I did this only in Jan) and so now instead of feeling overwhelmed by so much stuff I can just look at that list, know when it needs to be done and also know that I'm not NOT getting something done but rather it just isn't the month to do it! :) makes me feel better atleast and it has literally made the stress disappear! D

@natalieblev- that is a great idea! I have a similar timeline but it could be more detailed. Yours sounds very detailed. It's definitely a great way to stay on top of things. I am a huge list maker so if I write it on the list I will put my mind to it and get it done. That's what works for me.

I think it will work best by last name so that people can easily find their name. Everyone knows the alphabet, but if you do it by table number, they will have to read every table until they get to their name.

I actually posted a question on another board last night related to your post MK...everyone on here talks about vista print, what do you get with them. I'm tempted to buy this (bc let's be honest, I love groupons) but I'm not sure what I'd use it for.
I know I already posted some things I did with vistaprint and so did some other brides, but I thought I'd go ahead and share what I got with my $100 groupon for vistaprint... I used my $100 groupon today.... Holy savings!!! I combined my groupon with a "retailmenot.com" coupon code and got a TON of stuff! For 41.00 including shipping, I got 279.00 worth of vistaprint stuff! I got: 9 custom t shirts that I designed for the men in the wedding party and our parents 2 sets of 50 rack cards full color front and back 1 lawn sign to say "shoes optional" at the ceremony. Obviously the t shirts were the most expensive part... But how can you argue with getting 9 plus other stuff for 41 bucks?! That's what I call a deal! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
