I leave in about 2.5 weeks and am not even close to starting packing yet...I don't even know what I'm doing for placecards yet and still need to find jewelery for my girls.  I did pick up my marraige license today and get a list of local justices of the peace so am going to make some calls tomorrow and try to lock someone down for the week a night or two before we leave to get that done with!

how cute they have the same nickname haha. I swear all his hs friends have dinosaur nicknames and i have never understood it, but whatever its cute and funny!

We couldn't find them in NYC (first sign that there is a problem is when you can't find a freaking bottle of wine in NY), so I called a wine store in Houston, where my in laws live, and asked if they could get it shipped in and at least my in laws could try it and let us know it was ok. So that's what they did, they tried it, said it was great. I tell the catering person it's what we want and she says the wines are no longer available. So now in addition to wasting our time and money, we have no wine selection, and there is only ONE she suggested that's at the same price level. The rest are starting at $8 more per bottle than what we chose, and I think that's unfair. Especially since we were already going to be paying $40/bottle! ANGER. Trying not to go all bridezilla on her but pretty pissed off.

Dont stress too much! It will all work out! Dont pay the extra money! Stick with your original budget I say, and im sure it will all work out! Everyone will understand that you are out of country and planning can only go so far! Good luck!

Thanks. Trying to tell myself that no one else is even going to notice what kind of wine we're serving.

No!!! Do not get this upset over wine. It's wine...maybe the smallest thing you need to worry about. My girlfriend gave me good advice when i was panicking over little details and she goes, "Jessica, no one cares about the stupid programs, the center pieces, the decorations. They are flying down there because they want to see you and Rory get married. That's it. People are there to see your love, not the other stupid ass shit you are worrying over."

And it's so true!!!! All the stuff i was worrying about, I can't recall at any of the weddings I've ever been too. And You are having a destination wedding, people can't expect top wine from Napa. don't put so much pressure on yourself. It's going to be beautiful, amazing and perfect. Whether it's boxed wine or fine wine :) People will understand.

I'm currently having this exact panic attack! Lol! We leave on Wednesday and I really think we're going to have to resort to Rubbermaid Bins for all the center pieces and OOT contents! Dreading this packing experience!!

Alright party people. We're heading out this morning. I just wanted to give one final "Safe travels, good luck, early congrats" to all of you ladies, as I'll be in Mexico the next 18 days. You guys are awesome and I can't wait to come back and hear how beautiful all of your weddings were. I'll try to get on here while i'm down there to give updates to a few of you Playa Del Carmen ladies on what's available on 5th and at Wal-mart.

Two things we did last minute, that I wanted to suggest:

1. Call your bank and let them know you'll be out of the country

2. Updated my phone plan to International Coverage for a temporary period. It's $.99/minute, $.50 text messages out and $.05 text messages in. I also paid $25 for 100GB of data while I'm down there b/c that costs more as well when you go out of the US. Since we'll be there for an extended period of time, I wanted to be sure I could post pics, reach out to the fam, etc.

That's it! Have an amazing time, ladies! And remember, if something is stressing you out at this point in the game, cut it out of the agenda. It's not worth your stress, you should be nothing but elated...you're getting married and you're the bride to be!!! :)

xoxoxoxo

Best Wishes

Jessica

    • OMG these are incredible! Seriously blown away by the thoughtful detail you have put into every aspect of your gifts, your guests are going to be amazed! Props to you for adding so many personal touches and putting in so much time to make these gifts amazing!
    • These bags are amazing!! You are so organized and detailed, I am so impressed! I LOVE the Vistaprint stuff you ordered, the logo is so cute, I love your personalization!
    • I love etsy!! It's a great place to find personalized gifts without such a hefty price tag. I was thinking of getting my bridesmaids personalized necklaces with their names on them. I found these ones that are affordable and you can pick the chain length and different fonts, so you can really make them your own and pick what you know each bridesmaid will want. https://www.etsy.com/listing/595334072/personalized-name-necklace-stainless?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=personalized necklace&ref=sc_gallery-3-9&plkey=a8662525c53ec285c1b46b0f308162d0591edff8:595334072
    • Hi everyone, I am so happy that I am getting married to the love of my life. He proposed me and we are getting married within in a couple of months. And I have started preparations for my big day. I am super excited about a lot of things and also worried about many things.I have some inhibitions about my face and skin. Since I am a working woman, I have never got much time for personal care. This is the right time for it now. I need  proper medical grade skin care. Want to improve my skin tone and texture  I read some details about it here, https://www.mcleanclinic.com/nonsurgical-procedures/non-surgical/skin-care/, and found it really helpful. Can anyone of you suggest me some more tips? Like what I can do at home to have a glow on my face?  Thanks in advance.
    • I think you should approach the dentist. That would be the best idea as of now.
