Have you ladies chosen the readings for your ceremony?  Please share!

I found this one.. short and sweet but I haven't decided yet:

"Rain fell today
and somewhere lotus flowers are blossoming,
So are we.
Defying the impossible
in the shelter and warmth of each other's hearts,
extending the night, caressing the stars,
And knowing each other's hearts
is our human bliss"

Well I've started packing! I've completely packed the wedding bag and was successful in my goal of ONE bag for wedding supplies and welcome bag items! When we began planning I really didn't want to do the welcome bag thing. I didn't want to be bothered dragging everything down but as time went on, I thought that was selfish and I could at least do something for my guest. We originally expected around 40 guest, not 62 so as more people booked, we realized we had to keep the welcome bags a bit more simple. There were a few things I really wanted to add, but I didn't because it would have been WAY to many things to bring to MX. So anyways, we kept the welcome bags simple, as well as the wedding decor. We really wanted to fit everything into one checked luggage bag that weighs below the 50lbs weight limit... and it weighs 44lbs! Whooohoo!

I've also started packing my own bag. I've been throwing things in there that I think of throughout the day and I've packed a few things that won't wrinkle. Everything else is pretty much laid out in a room ready to be placed in the bag!

My FI hasn't touched his bag yet, that's just how he (and probably most guys) is. I'm sure he'll pack the night before we leave!

So is anyone coming up this weekend? There's too many pages here to go through everyone's dates! We should have made a page with everyone's dates listed in order!

If not, I think me and a few others are coming up next weekend!! Eeeeekkkkkkk!!! We fly in on Wednesday, the 12th.... Anyone else? I'll look for you at the airport!! cheer2.gif

I have to share my cake topper! They just finished it and I am in love. Its a little joke cause for over 10 years now everyone from back home calls my FI Travadactyl and he calls me babe-a-la-sauras. So I just think this is the sweetest!  Getting excited! I leave next week! But havent started packing yet! You ladies are making me think i better start soon though!

Too funny and I love it!  All of my friends call my fiance, Terry, Teradactyl, I wish I had thought to do something like this for the topper, its a great idea!!

I leave in about 2.5 weeks and am not even close to starting packing yet...I don't even know what I'm doing for placecards yet and still need to find jewelery for my girls.  I did pick up my marraige license today and get a list of local justices of the peace so am going to make some calls tomorrow and try to lock someone down for the week a night or two before we leave to get that done with!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
