Can we just go ahead and agree that this is in the top 5 most annoying things about wedding planning?  I think it's universal.  My FI is always like "don't worry, we'll get it done!"  Haha.  Even though he has NO IDEA what needs to be done.

Agreed!!! Like I said I finally got him to sit and figure out music with me but after a few hours he had "cabin fever" and had to go to the gym...so technically he listened to music while I scribbled notes then he left = the project still isn't finished and that's the 1st thing I've asked him to do!! Lololol! "But don't worry baby, we'll get everything done" were his words as he went to the gym! Oy vey!! These boys!! Lol

OMG of If I hear "don't worry, it'll get done, it'll be great" one more time I may committ homocide. How exactly do all these guys not understand that things just don't get done, someone has to do them! Music for dancing is one of the last things we need to do and it's proving to be very difficult. We dot really listen to top 40 dance music but also know that almost no one coming to our wedding likes phish-like music so it's hard to find a happy medium without handing over ITunes our paycheck!

I feel like in one sense my FI is super involved but then again not really. I feel the same way- if I hear him say "It's all gonna be perfect and come together great" one more time I'm gonna scream "OF COURSE YOU THINK THAT! LOOK HOW MUCH HAS ALREADY COME TOGETHER AND YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING FOR THAT!!"

It seems like music is one of our last things as well and we like ALL kinds of music so I've already said F-it! I'm picking the main songs (father/daughter, first dance, etc) and then giving the DJ free reign from there.

I just have so many small things to get together and no one seems to understand that... especially my poor little boy! I can't get ANYTHING done with him trying to play with me and go outside and it makes for a very stressed mommy!

I packed 2 suitcases of things the other day and felt great about that and then I weighed the one and it's 20 pounds over the limit, so back to square one on that one.... :/

I am so sick with a head cold- sinus infection, ear infection, sore throat, coughing all night for the last five days. And we have had company for nine days straight right before I got sick...so needless to say I haven't been able to get much done at all. I don't know if it's the foggy brain from being sick, but I'm not feeling freaked out. I have a ton of appts next week and still waiting on my dress to be done. I still have a couple of things to buy or finish. My FI is currently finishing the music right now and not really happy about it ha but that was the one job he picked so oh well. Hopefully I will get better by this weekend and finish up all projects and purchases by then. Then all appts next week and then I'll have a few days after the fundraiser run to figure out packing and any last minutes. Just really hoping my dress is done by Saturday! Anyways looking forward to seeing everyone's pictures. We are leaving June 14th and marry on the 20th so still have some time.

Got some great news today from my brother in law!  He offered to download and put together all of our music for the wedding, cocktail hour and dance party as part of his gift to us.  He's way into music and can expense most of whatever he downloads since he's in the industry and this is gonna save me a huge headache!

Mini bachelorette party #2 this weekend (I've had 2 mini's instead of one big) and I am already dreading the hangover I'm going to wake up to Sunday morning!

Only 22 more days until we leave and 13 work days left!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
