That's awesome! I have to say, now that it's done I'm happy with what I wrote and it's nice to be able to say I wrote it, but for what we had to pay to have the symbolic ceremony in addition to the price for the legal ceremony, I can't believe they didn't give me some script options like the pastor you found did for you.

Oh, well, though- right? Lol I'm just glad I came up with something nice and sentimental and meaningful but not an hour long! Haha

Oh my goodness you have to pay for a symbolic wedding? That is crazy! Our resort includes the legal ceremony in your package, but if you opt for a symbolic it is free but you get no credit from not using the legal one in your package. However, I do have to pay the pastor but that was my own choice to hire him. Otherwise like i said t hey would do the silly 3 minute ceremony. :)

Yeah... That's what I said- crazy!! It's not just a few bucks, either! I made a big stink about it so yet kind of sort of did something to help but barely!! Oh, well... They nickel and dime ya to death, but it's still going to be awesome and better than a wedding here in the states for the money...

Well, goal accomplished!! I am sticking with the script I posted earlier this week and I have completed the design for the ceremony program. :) I haven't printed and put together all the programs yet, so I still have that project, but the design is done and the wording is finished (thank God!!). Here is a sample program I printed. It's front and back and each guest will get a raffia fan as well. 400 What do ya'll think???

Hahaha, we are totally on the same page as far as our weddings go!!! Hilarious.

Although I'm not going to even try to compete with the queen of DIY projects and graphic design (ahem...Megan :) ), we have the same vibe for a lot of our stuff!!! i.e...sentimental but FUN. :) Our programs have the same gist based off of one that I saw on Pinterest. AND apparently we have the same taste in music because I'm walking to Israel's version of "What a Wonderful Life"! It was my grandparent's song...every time i hear it I start to tear up, so I am just hoping I'm not ugly crying down the aisle because of the emotions the song drudges up. How lovely would that be to greet my groom with smeared mascara and snot? Lol. Anyways, I love his music b/c it gives classic songs an island twist. Excellent choice on your song, his over the rainbow version is one of my favorites!

Here are our programs and then our Welcome Bag inserts. I'm going to tie the programs together with twine since I used twine in my invitations too. The front of the program is just us, the insides are the order of events and then a "thank you" and the back is an acknowledgment to those that aren't with us (our grandparents and a dear family friend of mine) in addition to a poem my grandfather wrote my grandmother years ago. He was a big time sailor and they had the most incredible love story. He passed away last February, but my grandmother will be there in Mexico, so I was so happy she gave me this poem to incorporate it into our wedding day. The color is a little different on the two inner pieces, but oh well, I'm not going to fret over a pantone number. :)

Love love love your programs, Megan. As always, you did a fabulous job and really should look at wedding event planning as a career, my dear. I also LOVE the gist of your wedding, we're definitely on the same wave length :)

I bought my jewlery and shoes yesterday (this is the third and final pair of shoes...I'm making myself stop looking!) . I loooooove my bracelets and its gonna be tough not wearing them for the next 2 months. These pictures really don't so them justice bc they sparkle so much in person! 400 400

So pretty! I love the bracelets! I am such a fan of color I still cant decide on jewelry! I keep thinking because of my dress i need to just get simple regular wedding jewelry (pearls and fake diamonds) but I just love vintage and love color so I cant decide!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
