June 2013 brides- what are you doing?

Recommended Posts

I checked out her etsy shop and she has a lot of cute stuff!  Which necklace did you decide on?  It is so hard for me to visulaize what the necklaces would look like with my dress!
I totally know what you mean by it being hard to tell what it will look like with your dress. I really love some of the extra chunky ones but I am a small girl and I just don't know what that will look like on me and with my dress and I love this one anyway so I think I'm going to order this one but first I want to ask her of she can make a matching bracelet. I also really love this one bc I think the toggle clasp will match the earrings I am planning to wea- they are just simple diamond studs that my FI got me for Christmas. Here is the necklace https://www.etsy.com/listing/104673878/custom-bridal-jewelry-bridal-pearl?ref=usr_faveitems Good luck!

So once I receive the necklace and bracelet I will definitely let you know what I think but so far- I highly recommend this shop and seller! She was so nice, super quick with her responses, and made me a custom order with necklace and bracelet within 10 minutes of me asking if she could even make the bracelet! Then when she made the custom order she sent the link directly to me AND even included earrings for no charge! Talk about customer service! I'm very pleased and can't wait to receive the items. Like I said, ill let you know when I get them what I think of the quality, etc. :)

Is anyone wearing any non- traditional jewlery? My dress is silk, sweetheart neck A-line win a ruffle down one side and pockets. I'm a pretty relaxed (aka not fancy) person and can't really imagine wearing pearls and jewels. I'm kind of thinking some sort of stacked bracelet set in fuschia with some fun colorful earrings. I can't decide if I need to wear a necklace or not (I'm thinking not depending on the earrings) Thoughts?

Hey Kard! I agree with catgirl, its your day... do what you want. I'm not wearing a necklace, I was going to go with colored earrings, but decided to put a bright flower instead. However I LOVE the idea of fun colored earrings and fum bracelets. Of all days in your life, your wedding day should be an exoression of yourself si toss the pearls aside! Sorry for the tyo os. I'm on my phone and apparently have misguided thumbs

Hey ladies.. I need some serious venting...

We have 46 guests booked.  My RSVP data was April 1 and so many people have not rsvp'd.  The worst part is that I waited until the RSVP to start my OOT bags because I didn't want to buy anything in excess.  I have now ordered the bags and started to purchase the items.  Suddenly we heard from people who are still "thinking about it" - I mean, almost 20 possible guests! I have two girlfriends who are teachers.  I understand their schedule will not be released until end of April but everyone else has no excuse.. I just think they don't realize what it takes to plan this.  If I run out of bags, is that ok to explain to them they were ordered a week after the RSVP date and we just didn't know they had plans to join us?  Or do I have to go out of my way to make them OOT bags?

Anyone going through that??

Wow! That is unreal. That's a lot of people to still be "thinking" about it! I mean, when do they expect to be done "thinking" and know if they are coming or not!? I would try to maybe but enough bag contents but for guests that book after the RSVP date get a paper gift bag instead of the reusable bag. I dunno.. Maybe that's even more tacky? Sorry for your dilemma! I guess just think of it as it's nice so many ppl are coming! :/

I have the same situation! I've been running around like crazy every time someone books. My FMIL was like oh, they should know by mid May if they are definite! WHATTT???? A month before the wedding?! People very rude and inconsiderate. I told my FMIL that there was a chance that they wouldn't get a welcome bag. I'll just  nicely tell them that it was after the deadline and I ran out of things. At this point, I could care less!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
