I asked the same type of question about everyone's overall budget. I figured, if you can ask a question like this anywhere, it's here on this forum!

Hey Kash- the beauty of this forum is, you can pretty much ask what you want and say what you want. If we don't like it or think you're rude, the same applies- we'll tell you!

I wouldn't worry about it, those that don't want to share won't and for the rest of us, we're just happy to be able to help someone else out...

My advice- find what makes you feel beautiful, but set your budget ahead of time. Once I found this dress, I would have paid for it no matter how much it cost, I loved it so much- luckily it was cheap!

Sarah - I LOVE your dress! Is this a new one? Your waist looks so tiny!

Edyta - If you divide the cost of your dress by 3 then you got a great deal on it anyway! is it posted up in the dress thread? I'll have to get check it out!

You are all fantastic - thank you so much for your help!

Tasha - I love that you found your dress on eBay!

So what I've learned is that there are great dresses at every price range and it all just depends on what looks good on ME... Though I probably won't be trying on any $10K dresses...

Was the sample sale at Saks all sizes or just tiny sizes? It seems like wedding dresses run super small so I doubt they'll have my size in a sample... unless they carry one of each size for try-ons.

I'm definitely going to check out Weddingbee and Preownedweddingsdresses and EBay - any other recommendations?

I had originally set a budget of $2,000 for my gown.

I ended up falling in love with one that was retailing for $700 - $770. I ended up ordering the dress from RK Bridal in New York. They will beat any on-line price quote by 5%. I felt comfortable ordering from them, because they are listed on the manufacturer's website as an authorized retailer. The lowest quote I was able to find online for my dress was $499, so I ended up buying the dress for $475 with no tax because I live outside of NY. Also, there was no shipping cost, per my original on-line quote from another retailer.

RK bridal was quick to reply and confirm my order. I ordered the dress a few weeks ago and it should be here by the beginning of February (assuming all goes well). :)

Good luck finding the dress of your dreams!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
