I will bring mine home when it gets super close, if anything happens I guess I will be stuck wearning a sundress or getting a new sample dress and getting it altered.  I fit almost perfectly into most samples so hopefully in an emergency it will all work out!

So does mine, but I think for me I love it at home because I can try it on when I want haha! And make sure the things I bought after (ie jewelry) look good and match.

But those dresses are huge, I had to put a hanger in my ceiling so it didn't lay on the floor!

Lucky girls you have your dress already. I am less than 3 months out and no dress yet. I might phone today.

Mine was 1500. I totally did not want to spend that much (that was the most I wanted to spend) and I hit it right on the head. Just waiting for it to come in - then alterations from a lady in Okotoks. I have to get it taken in a whole bunch since I listened to my mom and ordered a size 12 even though I am losing weight and with how things are going, I'll be back to my usual size 5,6 by the wedding (Holding at 8 right now)

Atleast you can say you had it taken in not out hehe!  Good job!

When did you order it? Mine took 2.5 months, I got it from David's Bridal, but my BMs dresses are supposed to take 1 month longer. She said because the color we chose is a new one for them so everything is made when ordered.

they are so long aren't they?! It didn't fit in my tiny closet so i put it in my mom's haha. It still touches the floor but once it gets hemmed that thing will fit in a carry on size suitcase hahah.

  • 2 weeks later...

A hem at David's bridal was quoted to me around $130. My coworker got a hem, bustle, sash changed out and a repair for $120

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
