I went with HDC. I heard nothing but great feedback on them, they were easy to work with and I was not to crazy about the on site photographer. The resort is charging me $500 to use HDC BUT i felt like it was worth it. These pictures are forever i wanted them to be perfect.

If you speak with your coordinator they should send you a packet with all of the possible sites and the names of the pools.

Hi ladies, I'm new and getting married at the HRPC August 22, 2014.  Just wondering if anyone knows how they do the new wedding collections at the beach gazebo??  Since a structure already exists there, I am just not sure how they work it.  I love the beach gazebo since it has the beach feel but also has the wooden walkway so I can still wear my heels :)

Hi everyone! I am also new to this site. I have been going back and forth between a few resorts and the HRH always seems to get me excited. I was looking at the HRH Cancun and the new one that is opening in the Riviera Maya. We both have never experienced Dominican resorts. How did you all choose what resort would best suite your wedding? We are looking at getting married August 2014!

Hi Jdub!  I'm also an August 2014 bride :)  I chose HRPC because it seemed to have the biggest variety of things for my guests to do and I have been to Mexico about a million times, I want my wedding to be something different and special.  So far everyone involved in the planning has been super responsive and helpful.  Jennifer is my wedding coordinator and she has been excellent about answering all my questions. What other resorts are you looking at?

Hi ladies, congratulations on all of your engagements and wedding planning.  I am in the process of choosing our resort and the contenders are the Majestic Colonial and the Hard Rock.  I was just wondering if any of you lovely ladies could enlighten me on your reasons on choosing the Hard Rock.  Based on the pictures it looks beautiful but my anxiety falls on the reviews on Trip Adviser. Thank you in advance :)

I am extremely new to this process, I've tried to post something before but have no clue where it went.  Hmm.

Point of the matter is I am in the processing of choosing our resort and the two contenders are the Hard Rock and the Majestic Colonial.  The Hard Rock has amazing pictures but the only thing that is causing my anxiety with them is the reviews on Trip Adviser.  The Majestic has more positive reviews and is ranked higher in regards to resorts.

I hope any of you lovely ladies can enlighten me on your reasons for choosing the Hard Rock and for past brides any feedback on their stay.

Thank you in advance :)

Thanks! I always enjoy hearing how others made their choices. It's so overwhelming. The other resorts we are looking at are HRH, Gran Caribe Real Cancun, Gran Porto Real, and Moon Palace.

I researched several resorts and tried to review almost every review I could find. In the end, I chose the HRPC because I felt it was pretty, modern and offered the luxury that I am looking for. Also, it seems to have something for everyone and it had the party vibe that I want to celebrate our wedding. Also, I am doing the compliments of HR wedding package and I felt it offered a lot. Lastly, I felt the good reviews outweighed the bad and I know for many of our guest this will be a vacation as well as attending our wedding so I wanted to have a fun vibe for everyone. I hope this helps :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
