4 Days to go and DRAMA!!!!

Recommended Posts

So we leave in a few days and I told you girls all along that my future inlaws have been against us getting married outside of a church all this time. They have made things hard and we never gave in on "our" dream wedding. Well after all these months of them really not talking to us, blowing us off and making us feel bad they called today to find out what hotel we are staying at. Chris thought that was weird and a little while later his dad called to say, we decided to go to your wedding but your hotel is sold out so we are staying at the sunset grande..... Sooooo now they are going... they "talked" to their priests and decided to go. Well guess I need to add them to the guest list at the front desk so they can get on property but I did read a review awhile back that said some of there guests were not allowed on property and they missed the wedding. Could you imagine?? OMG Maybe I will go in my wedding dress up to the gate on the road to make sure they have there names and wait for them to get in...lol And I thought I was stressed a few weeks ago, this just about puts me over the edge...lol shots.gifshots.gif

Well for what it's worth, better late then never. Right? I didn't have "any" family at our wedding so even if it was the day before we left I found out someone was going I would have figured a way to make it work. Try not to stress over it and I'm happy to hear they came around and will be with you on one of the most important days of your lives.

Dont stress, everything will be just as you wanted and planned!!! and as Tammy said, later than never, think when the days have passed and you start remembering about the wedding in the future years , having them there will be a joy moment.... hug2.gif

Don't get stressed out over something like this girl. It is your wedding you should be enjoying it. Just hand the list of the names to the WC and ask her to make sure everyone gets into the property. If you're still worried, ask the guests not staying at Riu to get to the resort at certain time and have someone designated (like BM or GM) to work with resort to get them in. Happy wedding!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
