I am getting married in Cozumel at a beach club, and I have a wedding coordinator there handling stuff like that for me.  I have the option to have a 5 piece mariachi band there for one hour for $375.  I don't know if the mariachi band they hire is exclusive to Cozumel, but I'm sure you can contact them and ask since the price is so good, and Cancun is so close.

I wouldn't know how to contact the mariachi band directly, but here is a link to my wedding coordinator, and I'm sure they could give you the info.

Wedding co-ordinators have a special relationship with vendors normally so have better prices, i dont know if theyd be willing to share vendor information if you arent paying them to co-ordinate the wedding? mmmm

It also depends how much you know about mariachi. My Mexican  fiance loves mariachi and will complain endlessly about "bad mariachi". so i had to research to find a cost effective one that he approved - he wouldnt hear of booking one without seeing a video. if it was me...all mariachi sounds pretty much the same, theres no good or bad hahaha

Hello ladies!

As wedding planner/ coordinator in the riviera maya, we do have special relationship with our preferred vendors and most of the time we make sure we get our brides the best value at a good price.

We can sure suggests you our mariachis, but do remember that your resort will charge you a special fee for having outside mariachi coming in. sometimes its not worth it to actually go through that to find the price will almost me the same as what they charge you directly at the resort.

Feel free to ask me anything and I will be happy to help.

Happy Planning

Joyce

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
