no, no! it's not just you.

I've packed the one bag and sent it home with mom - that's most of the decorations.

we are planning to have 4 checked bags. 1 each for clothes, 1 for all of our welcome bag stuff, and 1 for my (fake) flowers and any other decorations that I didn't send with mom. I'm also sending 1 checked bag with a friend that will have our favors in it.

then I'll carry on my dress and a backpack, and my fiancé will have a carry on bag. WHEW!

So it's still less expensive to pay for mom's checked bag (both home from Dallas this weekend, and then to Mexico in a few weeks). We're flying 1st class so we get up to three checked bags each (but no way do I want to take that much ourselves!!), and my friend has priority status so there's no charge to pay for her bag either. So a total of $75 for the 1 bag my mom is bringing. We'll take that empty suitcase back home with us, with another suitcase tucked inside...

for the record, no, we aren't packed YET. rolleyes.gif

I've been saying for a while that I was going to share a picture of my wedding stash with all of you.. So here goes..

I hope my fiance doesn't find this thread, I refuse to let him walk into my craft room. lol.. Only from the fear of him fainting and breaking something.. lol

My flowers are all at my moms house along with more vases. And I haven't ordered chair sashes yet..

In the boxes... I have my pink and orange OOT bags and in the other boxes are all my OOT goodies. Also paper for the programs and dinner menus, so I can consolidate my stash a little bit once those DIY's are complete. :o)

Can't wait to see everyone else's stash!! I know I'm not alone. lol

Love it!! Looks like fun! Where did you get your travel mugs from?

I'm not this far along yet, but I am sure I will look like this or worse, esp since I plan to DIY a lot! And I am already a crafty person and have stashes like this after 1 trip to a craft store.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
