Do u have your heart set on Cuba? Originally we were wanting Costa Rica but the flight schedules didnt work for us so we decided on Mexico and got the dates we wanted!

Yeah a lot of my family is kind of against Mexico for a few reasons they have condos in Flordia so for them it isnt much of a holiday and also because of the crime and drug war that is going on there, I could care less I have been there once a year for the past two years I figure there is crime everywhere but hey apperently I lost that argument, also to be honest I have been to Cuba and love everything about it, plus I have already been through this and got my heart set on it! I have a couple different companies looking at it for me and my fingers are crossed hopefully I will hear something soon and I can get it figured out!!!!!

Thank you Jolene. I am feeling so accomplished. I am antsy for my dress to come in! I think that's what's next on my checklist. It will be here in December then ill have to get it altered. I've never been anywhere really but would love to go to Cuba also. I'll be 90 miles from there in key west though!

Yeah, I feel that there are so many other places that you might as well go to if they are going to charge you $1900. The Caribbean is supposed to be an inexpensive but nice place to go. If it is going to be super expensive, I feel there are several nice places to travel to. I would definitely get a second quote from another TA.

I cannot wait to start trying on dresses! When I first got engaged it was not necessarily on the top of my to do list. But the more I am doing to prepare for the wedding, the more excited I am to find THE dress. I love seeing pics of everyone's dresses. Helps me see different styles and what I might like. casontag, do you have a pic of your dress?

I got a little bit of a beeter rate from one... 1600 with taxes now the problem is what to do with my family in Winnipeg the only tour operator offering flights from there is Air Canada and for us in Calgary Air Canada is way more $$ but to qualify for a group rate they need 10 people and there arent 10 so not 100% sure what to do there! Back to the drawing board maybe I need to change resorts or something!!!! I'll keep plugging away I am also waiting for 2 more quotes!

 

I went wedding dress shopping for the first time last Friday it was fun and I am in love with 2 dresses so I didn't buy anything yet... I am going to plan another trip and bring a few more people I only had 2 and each one liked one of the dresses LOL but it is pretty exciting it made it feel real thats for sure!!!

I am sure that I will be a mess when I try on my first wedding gown. I made it my goal to never wear a white gown for a pageant so that when I try one on for my wedding, it will really mean something. I am going to try and have all four bridesmaids and my mom come with me at least for the first trip. I don't know if it is better to have more people there or less. I am also nervous because my wedding is so far away. I do not want to pick a gown and then find out that I like another one more.

 

Our flights to Punta Cana were more than we expected they would be. Most of our guests will be paying $100 over what we figured it would be based on this year's rates. One thing that I wish is that Southwest would start flying to Punta Cana. Nothing like telling your guests to pay more for the flight, then have them paying at least $100 in baggage fees.
