Hi ladies,

I am just about to start planning my future cruise wedding and would love to hear where the current cruise brides are in their planning process!

Please share how things are going, what isn't going well, DIY, planning, etc.

Thanks!

We are also in the beginning stages - we have decided on he Carnival Breeze out of Miami on 1-4-12.

So far we have done fun save the date cards that look like boarding passes. We have our invites in thought but have time to bring them to reality :)

We also have looked at wedding songs, flower upgrades and food selection.  I have not even thought about a dress; its my least favorite part of the process; I am not a size 2 or a young bride so I worry about how I will look

Have you decided on a ship or date?

We're getting married at St. Thomas and are going on a Carnival Cruise March next year. We are not, however, using their services since it's much much more pricier. When my FI both decided on where we're having it, I was able to browse around the forums here and that's how I found my WC. We're using Island Bliss Wedding and working w/ Janelle. It'll just be a simple ceremony with a casual lunch after since my compromise w/ my mother was having a reception back hom for folks that won't be able to make it out.

My DIY on the trip will be the corsage for the bridesmaids. Majority are for the reception here :) Best of luck!

Planning has been going well our wedding is in December so its almost here! We're getting married in St. Thomas using an outside planner (Island Bliss Weddings) and will be having our reception back on the ship with Carnival. For personalization we are bringing our own silk flowers, favors, OOT bags, cake topper, programs, guestbook and decorations for the tables in the main dining room.

Sounds like planning is going well! I too, am looking at using Island Bliss as Janelle really seems like the best! How did you guys choose what ship to go on? I have cruised 10 times and love cruising but also want a nice ship yet reasonable for my guests! Wishing you all happy planning and thank you for sharing! The cruise board is a little quiet!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
