Budget-Friendly Bride: Location Advice??

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to find a location that has beautiful beaches, great food, and fun for my 30-40 guests! Problem is, I'm on a tight budget! Also, I like resorts which feel tropical but not out-dated! I know this is a tall order...but I would really love to know if anyone has suggestions for me?? I'm meeting with a travel agent in 2 weeks, but not sure how helpful they will be. Any suggestions welcomed!!!!

Thanks ladies!! :)

Congrats JennyAdele + welcome to this forum! The Barcelo Resorts here would provide your wish list, and have several pricing options. Here's a link to their Maya Beach Resort which may be an option that could work for you.....http://www.barcelo.com/BarceloHotels/en_GB/hotels/Mexico/Riviera-Maya/hotel-barcelo-maya-beach/general-description.aspx

all the best with your research + planning process, and have a perfect destination wedding! Cheers :)1000

Okay so do you want gourmet all inclusive or are you okay with buffet? By great beach do you mean private/secluded or just beautiful. I went with an awesome travel agent, if you want her info inbox me, she walked me though the same questions, for us privacy and gourmet food was priority #1 we didn't want a large AI because we wante out guests to interact not break into splinter groups. Moon Dance Villas is a small property sleeps 40 and older and overflow guest will be at their sister property. Additionally all of the guest amminities for the wedding are included. So at the service they seemed pricey but after breaking down costs at the end of the day it was far cheaper custom then a big resort plus it offers out theme of a BOHO beah wedding with 300 feet of private beach for our guests.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
