June 2013 Playacar Palace Brides

Recommended Posts

Hola Ladies, I wanted to start a thread for the Playacar Palace brides that are getting married in June of 2013! It's been a bit of a rocky start getting my room block confirmed and I was just curious to hear from other brides about their process. Also I was thinking it would be cool if I actually bumped into one of the brides from BDW while at the resort :-)

Hi Renewedbride! I just got married at Playacar Palace in January! It was absolutely beautiful and the resort is great! We booked our wedding through a local travel agent, but all of my communications with the wedding coordinator on location (Wilma!) were great. She was very quick to respond and very helpful! We did a bit of pre-planning before we got there, but we just met with Wilma a couple days before the wedding to finalize everything. It was super quick and easy and everything went great! Did you have specific questions about the process or just overall?

Good luck! It's beautiful there!! You can see my wedding pictures on Facebook here!

XOXO

Rachel

Hi Jessi, I've been working with Elvia, but she hasn't been too quick to respond to me. I usually ask my wedding specialist to contact her. Her email is egilharry@palaceresorts.com. Good luck with all your planning! I know it's frustrating when you need answers and you can't talk to a real person. Sherrae

Hello ladies!!!! I just wanted to join in on this thread as I am getting married June2013 at Playacar Palace as well. I'm so lost in this process as far as planning. We haven't been contacted by the actually planner at all other than to collect money upfront. But our coordinator Laurie Gluck has been amazing! She made the room bookings so easy. We basically gave her a number & deposit & she took care of everything else. I hope the planning is just as seemlessly as the room bookings.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
