I need to start doing my STD's, & Invitations, but do not know where to start. I've seen some nice invitations that look like booklets for the guests. I would love to go with the DIY method, but I'm really not talented with stationary, so I'm looking for someone who does this. Any suggestions....

Also, I still have yet to come up with a monogram. Do I need a monogram before anythinghuh.gif?

Ok I will see if I can help you here. It may be a good idea to do a monogram first so you have that on all your stuff. It ties it all together.

To make the save the date I would recommend doing just a simple magnet or postcard sized envelope. Here is a helpful site Save The Date Magnets, Wedding Invitations, Postcards for Weddings, Magnetic Favors

I sent my STD's with out much thought but have put a lot of thought into my invites and I am happy I did. Let me know if you need anymore help and have fun!!

Thanks for the useful info. Yeah, I actually looked into the magnet idea. My wedding is not too far from now, so I better get to those STD's. But the Invites, I'm very concerned with. I want something nice but do not want to spend a fortune either. I Like the Message in the bottle invites. How do I go about doing these, Any suggestions, if you have any...?

Thanks

Thanks for that webiste stephanie, I'm def. gonna get my STD's from here. Your right about the Monogram thingy. I would quickly chose one, but I'm still deciding on my wedding colors.

Thanks again.

I made my own pocketfold invites- it's very doable, just takes a little patience. Here's the thread with more info: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...you-think.html
Wow, you are a true DIY Queen, Congrats!!! I just saw your invites and they are beautiful :0. I can imagine mailing them out must be costly due to the weighty paperstock. Maybe i'm wrong though. Anyway, I wish I gained the courage you have to do them myself. I'm so scared to give it a shot to only end up hating them and end up wasting more money getting already made ones later on..lol But seriously, I'm def. gonna look into the webites you mentioned. About the monogram, I'm so anxious to get one done already, one of the brides-2-b on here mentioned how it's best to first have one ready because it actually helps to bring everything together. But I haven't even decided on my wedding colors yet. I seem to be stuck on three right now, and I can't decide. Should this even matter? Maybe I could use them all three for the monogram, besides this would probobly make it stand out more right? Have you helped other brides in this forum create their monograms?
If so, I'd love to see your work :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
