I have never ever been a bridesmaid, where Im from either it was a shot gun wedding or they arent married yet and my good friend was married just before I met her.

Yea! I never understood that mentality. Ugly dresses= ugly pictures. What bride wants ugly pictures? Then people will look at them and a)question your taste and B) question how good of a friend you are haha.

I was a bridesmaid in an Indian wedding so I wore traditional Indian clothes and I was a "stand in" bridesmaid for a friend of the family who was flat left by her entire bridal party- MOH and 2 bridesmaids 1 month before her wedding. She called me hysterical crying and I agreed to be a bridesmaid. I took her to a store and we bought $65 dresses right off the rack LOL

It's better to be a guest lol less stress and responsibility!

I gotta find the petition for the app! I'm on this site all the time too- which is why I often type from my iphone. I get an alert when I get an email and I know every time someone responds to a post and I want to write back right away!

Haha. My first thought! If I pick ugly dresses ppl will think I lack a sense of fashion. Lol. Ive already got enough grief on the pink and orange color scheme. : o( That's so sad about yourfriend! :-( I hope she is no longer friends with those girls!sooo rude! I have always wanted to go to an Indian wedding. <------- soo jealous here! Lol Lol.. Me too. I check on my subscriptions ever few minutes throughout the day.

Sorry that this is blurry... but this is my bridesmaids dress LL
I like coral that was the color I initially wanted. I wanted to have each girl wear a progressively darker shade so it looked like sunset. We axed the idea bc while I loved it and thought it was beachy, we are instead getting married in church. Plus my fiancé chose a blue suit donut didn't match. Nice flowy dress!

I have got to check out Dessy. I keep seeing comments posted about them and I have loved all of the photos so far. I still can't even decide between long and short. I am leaning more towards short, because my wedding is in August in Punta Cana. I think it will be hot enough just being in clothes.

I can't imagine all of my bridesmaids leaving me a month before my wedding. How devastating!

And on the note of BMs looking ugly in their dresses...that is my biggest fear. I want them all to feel beautiful yet I do not know of a neckline that flatters all shapes and sizes. I like the idea of the same designer but different styles. Then they will like their dresses and maybe they will all end up with the same one too!

Dessy is awesome. So many colors to choose from, and gorgeous stylish dresses. The full length tend to be pricey though, around 170 ish, and I trying to keep it a bit cheaper. I on,y have on BM thogh, so we are going to keep browsing the mall for something that will work

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
