Dear FI,
I love you, I love your family and spending time with them. But I am absolutely DREADING Friday when we're expected for dinner at their house, and what I would give for an excuse I could use without turning this into an issue between us.
I know you think I'm unreasonable, but it is NOT NORMAL or HEALTHY to eat in a home with roach and rat problems. I know your family thinks the 'rat problem' was resolved when the cat dragged out rat babies from under the dining room table, but has anyone asked, WHERE IS THE MOMMA RAT? And just because you don't see the roaches walking across your plate DOESN'T mean they aren't crawling across them in the cupboard before you use the plate!!!
Honey, you saw how I freaked out and bombed our place, scrubbed the dog, had her shaved/groomed and washed every linen and blanket after seeing ONE FLEA on the dog. What do you think my reaction is going to be Friday?

Ewwwwww Maria! Really, they live like that? That is boardering on a call to the health department. I wouldn't go. That's just unsanitary and gross. What other explanation do you need? Or, you could bring your own plate & utensils??

I love it. Imagine Maria showed up with disposable plates and forks... oooh, I have an idea! Maria why don't you tell them you have decided to become a Jew and will only eat kosher food - that lets you bring your own food PLUS disposable dishes and utensils... clearly this is the perfect solution

Dear foster Dodger,
Thank you for sh*ting in your belly band this morning, and it was SO wonderful picking on the many spots that it dripped out.. Makes my mornings wonderful...

A belly band, is a piece of fabric that is wrapped around the mid section of a male dog, so that in case they try to mark your house they pee in that versus your furniture. Since Dodger was left outside, he's not potty trained. Well his belly band is too big for him, so it keeps slipping down past his butt, hense the reason he pooed in the belly band and it dripped out.. Yeah totally gross, Plus since he tends to like pooing up a tree (on the trunk) there was some on my wall as well.

Dear DH:
Are you serious? Another speeding ticket? Let me remind you that just last month I paid the attorney $60 to go to court for you to help keep the "running a red light" ticket off your record...then sent in $190 to the city to pay your fee. Oh and let me also remind you that just last year we paid for another speeding ticket and a single occupancy in the HOV lane ticket. Can we please be a little more responsible and think of all the money we've been giving to the City of Dallas. Oh one more thing...we're never going to be able to buy that new truck you want if we keep giving all our money away!!!!!
