Hi There;

I don,t know if you hired your planner yet, but I would totally go with Bermuda Bride.  Nikki is amazing and if you are looking for a fantastic photographer go with Amanda Temple - you should see my photos!  I am writing to you on behalf of my daughter who is a University Student.  They were on a really tight budget, but all in all their total wedding cost them approx $5,000.00.  Now, Mom is on this site because I am planning a 20 year anniversary with a vow renewal.  I was just browsing the cruise section and though I would respond to your post.  Happy planning!

I would NOT use Weddings with Panache out of Bermuda. The woman I had contact with was named Ginny.   Unfortunately I had a terrible experience. We determined about 8 weeks ahead of the date that we were going to get married in Bermuda, and I spoke to several wedding planners. Ginny got back to me consistently during the sales process and I decided to move forward with her. Virtually as soon as I signed the contract and sent the deposit, she went radio silent and I ended up having to cancel her less than a month before the wedding and plan the entire thing myself. I couldn't get her to reply to emails, she didn't communicate or show up to phone calls that I scheduled, and she didn't return my voicemails. The few vendors that she had contacted did not have committed contracts and she had given them incorrect information about my expectations. I ended up planning my entire wedding within that short timeframe. Even the vendors who had been in contact with her made similar comments about her lack of responsiveness and follow up. I also tried to put her in touch with my mother and mother in law to plan things like the hotel and dress rehearsal, and they actually came back to me and told me that they could not get a response. The entire thing ended up being a stressful disaster. Of the few vendors that she had originally contacted that I kept and re-negotiated with, a third that we kept were AWFUL (we kept 6). The violinist that she said was top notch no showed on the day of the wedding, and the private fishing charter that she had raved about didn't offer my fiance fishing, didn't provide the drinks I requested, and was late to pick all of them up. Overall, I would not recommend this group. I was disappointed in about every way possible.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
