I absolutely love this website and b/c of these forums I have gotten some really good ideas, useful reviews, and needed information. I am excited to say I booked HDC and I look forward to working with them.

We have decided to go with HDC photo as well for our photography and video! Reading this just made me extra sure that we made the right decision! Their prices were pretty fair to me!

Hiring HDC was the best choice for us, they were a pleasure to work with. Milan was easy going, Manuel went unnoticed. The photos we got back were beautiful. The video was edited well, everything flow

SoonMrsD, I'm not sure what resort you're getting married at but at HRPC there is a 500 off site vendor fee. It may be different depending on your resort. Hope this helps.

Yeah I found out that I would have to pay $1000 outside vendor fee to have them at my wedding which is ridiculous!!!!

OMG!!!! I thought our 500 fee was high but 1000, sheesh. These resorts do their darndest to keep all the money in house. My finace and I chose the complimentary package at our resort and I wanted to bring in our own sashes (for the chairs) and line the aisle with luminaries but I was told it would be an additional 200. Needless to say I scrapped that idea. I was happy to know I can have programs and fans placed on our guest’s seat with no additional charge.

I am good at saying no, it's all about having fun and eating and drinking, minor details don't bother me, it's just the extra charges that drive me crazy lol

Yeah I'm bringing my own centerpieces and flower petals for the aisle. I want programs and fans so I have to see how to work that in, that's a nice perk.

My daughter got married in July 2013 at the Dreams Palm Beach resort and we hired HDC Photography as our photographer.  It was between them and another company.  Both took beautiful pictures, but HDC was less expensive and their photographs were fantastic.  Milan was an absolute pleasure to work with and did what he could to make the pictures as idealic as possible.  He was very courteous and such a professional to work with....and he is a very nice guy and goes with the flow.  The wedding was on a Thursday and we were scheduled to leave the resort around noon on Saturday...so arnaud met with us in the lobby at 10 am Saturday morning to show us the pictures (CDs) that we went home with that day.  About a month after our return, my daughter emailed Arnaud with the images that she wanted in her album and I just emailed Arnaud with the images that I wanted in my parent album.  Now...we can't wait to see the final result.  It has to be fantastic...everything else was!

If you are considering booking with HDC, don't hesitate!  They are wonderful.

 

We decided last minute to have engagement photos done on our vacation to Punta Cana.   From the start, Arnaud was so quick to answer my emails and very nice about the (million) questions I had.  Since we've never had professional photos done before, I was a bit nervous but Charlie made us feel comfortable right away!  He took us to a beautiful and more private beach and took his time with us. I thought I wasn't photogenic and was nervous about how the photos would come out, but they were all amazing!! Out of over 100, there weren't many that I didn't like.  Arnaud came and met us at our hotel 2 days later with the photos and was so warm and friendly. 

 

We ended up talking about our 2015 wedding in New York and decided we want HDC to be our photographers!  It is clear that they are passionate about what they do and aren't just in it for the money (which is not something you find often in NY!)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
