Now that I have the idea, I need to figure out exactly how I will do it. I want to hand the flowers to my mom and MIL myself, but do I walk up the isle, kiss my dad, and turn around and hand the flowers to them and turn back to face my FI? Will everyone get what I am trying to do? Hmmm…….
I saw this in a bridal magazine and it said that you give your mom the flower before your dad takes his seat, but i can't see that working either. don't know, plus would you say something to them out loud so that people understand what's going on?? maybe some recent brides that have done this can help us!! when i saw it in the mag, i thought it'd be really nice to do, but i just can't picture the flow of things, esp with FMIL before you walk up the aisle with hubby...won't everyone be excited and clapping? then FMIL wouldnt get the same attention as your mom....

clearly i wasn't much help lol!!

LOL, I am hoping someone who has done it chimes in. I want to give both flowers to both moms at the same time before the end of the ceremony but I just can't figure out how.

so glad this got bumped!

i love the idea and really want to hear from some brides that did this and made it work!

in my mind i picture stopping at the first row with my dad, presenting the flowers to my mom, and then continuing on with my dad the last few steps to where FH's is and dad actually "gives me away"....then at the end i am clueless! dont want to do it after the kiss because as mentioned people are going to be clapping and excited so the moment could be weird....so when do you do the FMIL? I certainly could not incorporate it into the actual ceremony - my mother would be so jealous! OR - does the groom take the other part of the bouquet after bride arrives and present to his mom himself before the actual ceremony startshuh.gif? HELP!

What a beautiful way to honor the mothers! My mother is going to be hysterical though, so I don't know if I want to add anything else lol. She has been crying since we got engaged last year! We're having 2 poems read, so I think we're going to ask my mom and his mom to read them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
