Bamabride!!!! Congrats! I just got engaged last saturday and we too are planning our destination wedding in PR for July 2013.  I am so excited but completely overwhelmed.  I have been looking at La Concha in San Juan.  I would like to try and find a hotel in San Juan so that my guest have plenty to do in walking distance.  Please let me know how you planning is going?  How many guests are you planning on inviting?

Congratulations! Yay for PR Brides! I know, it is pretty overwhelming planning a wedding, especially when you don't live where you want to get married. I have looked into a TON of venue....mostly hotel...in San Juan. I have actually been to La Concha, it's beautiful! Last time we went to PR, we stayed in San Juan & walked everywhere. There's so much to do, your guests will love it. Right now we are 99.99% sure we are getting married in Old San Juan at El Morro & then renting out part of a restaurant for the reception. But we shall see, seems like our planning changes daily ha. We are thinking we'll have 40-50 guests.

Have you looked at http://www.bodaclickpr.com? It's in spanish, but your computer should be able to translate it if you need. It's a great source of info for different PR vendors. Let me know how your planning is going! So glad to have another PR Bride!

Yes I too have been using bodaclicker.com.  I will definitely keep you updated on my planning.  Old San Juan is just beautiful!  Its reassuring to know that La Concha is just as beautiful in person as the pictures.  I am still going to look into a couple of different hotels just to compare rates, but I just have fallen in love with La Concha!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
