I actually wouldn't mind doing one since I have the time, but I wouldn't know what to put on there.
I'm putting my wedding party and a poem on it. I'm not putting the order of the ceremony, because I don't have anything special planned and quite honestly I don't know what the order is!

We're doing the natural fans, and may print a poem or something to put on them, but no program. I think it really depends on what you want. I also wouldn't know what to put on my program. No attendants, and I think our ceremony will be fairly short.

Here are a couple pics of my fan programs. I only had 14 guests, and we had a total of 3 attendants, but I just loved making DIY projects so I did them anyway. They definitely aren't necessary, although I usually enjoy looking at them when I go to weddings.

The templates for these have already been posted above:

1. Where did you get your paper and did you just print the infomration from your computer?
Paper came from Discount Wedding Invitations, Vellum Paper, Vellum Envelopes, Card Stock Source - Paperandmore.com, yes I printed on my home computer

2. How did you cut it so precisely?
Very carefully!

3. Where did you get those little metal things that hold it?
They are decorative brads from Hobby Lobby. I also used them on my invitations and my menus.

4. Is there nothing attaching the papers together? Do they just fan out and the guests just kinda fan it as big or small however they want it?
You got it.

5. Did you just follow how they did it step by step? I saw some cardstock in Michael's that I liked, but I wasn't sure if that's what you used.
I used cardstock for the paper, but for the red sheets I used the fiskars embossing tool to texturize the paper. That was the most time-consuming part.

6. And lastly...what font did you use because it is beautiful?
Hmm...that display is done using Scriptina (the headings) and I actually don't remember what I did for the main wording(I think it looks like Anglina?). This is actually just my mock-up that I posted. For my real programs I used Allegro and Copper Alt Caps Expert.

To all the ladies, how do you get the monigram with the couple's information or initials...I see lots of you have them and I want one too. lol

If you let me know what style of monogram you want, along with your names, dates, colors, etc. I can make you one.

I'll be interested to see your answers to all of the questions above!
I probably spent a couple nights' worth of evenings in front of the tv making them. But, again, the hard part was embossing the red paper- if I hadn't done that they would have been much easier.

Now the only thing I am a bit confused by is the machine you said you engrossed the red paper with. I have no idea what you are talking about, lol.
Fiskars is a brand-you can find embossing tools at most crafts stores-I like AC Moore for scrapbooking things or you can type in "Fiskars" embossing tool into Ebay and find one. I hadn't seen the fans before, they are awesome Sarah! I think I will be stealing the idea next wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
