From this pic it looks like they have about 40 chairs set up. It does look a little crowded tho...

Did you go stand all the way out on the jetty?? I wanna do that when I go in December wink.gif

Edna are you doing 2 ceremonies?? I thought of doing this too since its included in the location fee, but I don't know if I really want to go through the blood tests and everything.

Yes Amy, to be legally married in Mexico you have to do the Legal Ceremony ( the one at the jetty) and the Catholic Ceremony will be at the Church of Maria Reina de la Paz in Marina Vallarta which is really lovely and gorgeous, we fall in love with it as soon as we see it!!! I will post pics too!!

Is not a big issue about the legal ceremony, just the documents and the blood test that the Mayan take care of it... do you have all the documents for the Catholic Ceremony? have you talked to the Priest already? I have the requirements in spanish if you want I will try to translate and post them..

We think on giving two options for our guests: one in EP in the Westin and the AI at the Melia ... both are next door to the Mayan so is very convinient for everybody.... I will ask also on the Regina since they have condos available for rent so for families is a good option.

I always liked the Marriot but it seems they never answer on quotes!!! LOL

we are trying to get all our requirements in order now. I did my confirmation in Guadalajara as a baby and my aunt is trying to see if she can get a copy of the certificate. Hanssel has not done his and will need to wait until Feb 08 (a 4-session course). We are taking our Marriage class in 2 weeks then we need to take our questionaire with the priest.

Hanssel called the Parroquia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe (again) today and they said we could book with what we have but we'd have to wait until November 10th. I really don't understand why.

Edna, please post what you have or email me. Spanish is fine with me.

What time are you envisioning your ceremonies?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
