Xcaret Brides 2012 or 2013?

Recommended Posts

Hi travelgal78,

I completely understand your disappointment with Xcaret prices - I've been there to. After learning about all the complications and expenses, I was ready to give up on Xcaret, but I really loved the place. Did you considered having just your ceremony there and the reception at another place? The fee for any of the churches or the pond is around $1,600. The only other thing that you would need to get is music (add another $700). This option is available only on a weekday. I know, its still pricey, but the place is unbelievably beautiful and you will have amazing pictures and very unique ceremony that would not compare to any hotel.

Search for DelSol's pictures of a wedding in the Chapel of Guadalupe (its inside the grotto). I think the name of the bride was Savy (maybe Mat can help on this one).

There are also a few beach clubs around Xcaret where you can have your reception for much less than Xcaret's prices.

This is an option that I went with, so feel free to ask any questions.

anaMay2014, thank you for your advice. I actually do not want a "church" style wedding and was looking to do a ceremony on the beach with the reception at Xcaret but that doesn't look like it is going to work. I'm now back to my original plan of either Isla Mujeres Palace or Secrets the Vine. I had to rule out Secrets Maroma because of price for my guests :(

Wow the pics look fantastic. I recently got engaged and I wanted to have the wedding there but I do know that it can be quite expensive. I was looking at Now Jade and that seems to be the hotel we are going to book at but I am sad that we couldn't do a catholic ceremony. I am so glad that I found this forum and now hope to have the ceremony there. Can you advise on who I can contact for prices? I need to keep cost down so i dont want to hire a wedding planner. Hope to do all of it myself. I have plenty of time as it wont be until July 2015!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
