I think (and correct me if im wrong) the first and second picture matt just added show the free coconut decorations supplied by xcaret!

what im ideally hoping to find is different examples of people adding petals, small arrangements, draping etc...just to see what the options are. Im using a tiny bit of the budget for my civil wedding at sandos, then a bit more for the chapel...and probably trying to use most of the flower/decor budget for la isla.

I do think all of the venues are beautiful as they are though, so shouldnt need more than a few enhancing touches

Hi JessiTaylor,

That is right, although we have seen this chapel decorated with petals, check out Elvira + Rodrigo's Wedding: http://delsolphotography.com/blog/content/galleries/?gal=354

Hi All --

I just stumbled upon this thread and thought I would chime in!  We are currently having Xcaret hold July 6th, 2013 for us, while we try and figure out some details and answers to some questions from them.  We will be doing the Guadalupe Chapel and the Herequenera Hacienda patio for the reception if we can work everything out.

I have been trying to coordinate through Cristel Romero at Xcaret, but having trouble getting answers back from her or anyone else there.  Of course no delay in getting me price quotes and a contract to lock me into a day, but no substantive answers to any of my specific questions!  Have any of you had similar issues with them, or are you all working with a third party wedding planner as well?

We will be having our guests stay at El Taj Oceanfront and Beachside Condos, and some will be choosing other Condo Hotels properties (Porto Playa, Maya Villa, Villas Sacbe) for more affordable options.  We're planning on a welcome party at Wicky's Beach Club, a rehearsal dinner at Gigi's on 5th, and a few after-parties at the Indigo Beach Club.  Those venues have been amazingly helpful (and quick) with answers to all of my questions, so if any of you would like info about the hotels or the other venues, please let me know!

Missy (& Garrett), from Austin, TX

PS -- JessiTaylor, I stumbled upon your Xcaret boards last night while I was stalking pinterest! Thanks for doing that -- big help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
