Las Caletas Wedding Day Checklist...

Recommended Posts

Hey previous Caletas brides...

I'm trying to make up a list of "must-haves" and "do not forgets" for my wedding day. What did you take with you over to Las Caletas on your wedding day? What do you wish you would have taken with you? Any help/ideas appreciated!

i brought an extra dress to change into later in the evening, thanks to Jamy for the tip (think sundress style)! honestly, i wouldn't have changed into it, except that i wasn't feeling well - but it was nice to have as an option just in case.

i also ended up having a couple pairs of shoes ... my "wedding shoes" just didn't work out, my dress kept snagging on them - so i was barefoot or in my wedges all night.

hmmmm ... can't think of anything else!

Yep, I'm the Jamy who suggested the 2nd dress and I was glad to get into something I could really dance in. Even just in case, I say bring a change of clothes.

Other than that I brought the basic stuff I knew I needed to get ready plus a camera, gifts for the flower girl/BMs, gifts for my parents, candles for the casita (they have tons though), a journal that I wrote my vows in, cell phone, towels for the shower/beach, that's about all I can think of!

Yes, they do provide some towels, but if you have a lot of people that will be showering (we had 7) - they get used up pretty quick...it was nice having my own nice big towel - I stayed wrapped up in my towel pretty much until I got dressed!!! My biggest piece of advice is to bring/have COMFY shoes!!!! I was barefoot most of the night or in flip flops....definitely don't want heels there!!!!

For some reason that is hilarious to me...I think I really needed a laugh!

Nicole told me to bring a couple since I had a large group too. We all just took them from the hotel and brought them back with us.

Question for you ladies: How many mins did it take you to walk to the groom from the top of the spa area?

Also, I have 9 attendants...I know I know.....we're all kinds of traditions of Italian, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Spanish, Lebanese, Irish, English...I'm sure there's some other stuff in the pot as well. So anyway, we have a lot of love walking with us. ( 9 women and men, My Father and myself ) how long will that take us to walk to the groom and minister? TYsmile43.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
