Who is invited to the rehearsal dinner?

I like the idea of a cocktail reception for everyone. Maybe the in-laws could do dinner for family and then cocktails later and include everyone. We are staying at an all-inclusive, so it is not an issue with us, just finding a table for 12! I am looking into doing a sunset cruise the day before for everyone. There is an option to add dinner to the cruise. I think it's $45 pp for drinks, $75 or so to include dinner. I'm sure the food is better at the resort! It would be my FI and I paying for the cruise, so we have not decided if we want to add this expense.

This is the one time I'm annoyed that we're not at an all-inclusive.  Sounds like they aren't going to invite everyone.  As a semi-solution, I think we may do the rehearsal and dinner on Thursday instead of Friday, which will leave Friday open for us to do something all together.  Issue now is just paying for it...the brunch we're doing on Sunday is already $80 pp so FI and I are feeling sort of spent, between that and my part of the wedding.  But we could at least do cocktails by the pool or something without having to do catering.  As long as we can buy our own booze it wouldn't be so bad.  Maybe just do local rum or something.  It's hard with 100 guests!

This is a great question. I mentioned the idea to my FMIL and she just started going off a list of everyone who had to attend simply because it is all-inclusive at the resort, however, to accommodate everyone we'd have to pay to have a private dinner in one of the restaurants. I don't want anyone to feel left out but i thought of just the bridal party, parents, and very close relatives.

This is just my opinion, but I would actually feel less pressure to include everyone at an all inclusive resort.  The reason I wanted all guests invited is because they're spending all this money to travel to our wedding, and they still have to pay for meals and such.  Which is fine, I'd just like to show them a good time as much as possible.  In your case, people are still covered for dinner even if they're not invited to the rehearsal dinner itself.  Just my 2 cents!

That is the only reason why I am even considering it because it is all inclusive and i don't want to leave anyone out.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
