Hard Rock Punta Cana--what to do after ceremony...

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies i'm hoping to get some good ideas....My wedding ceremony date is set for June 22, 2013 at 2pm (i wanted a later time but this was the only time available)..I am debating on what i should schedule for my guests after the ceremony being that the ceremony is so early. Would it be bad to give my guests some time to freshen up and then meet a little later for the cocktail hour and reception? stupid.gif

Hi,

Are you having yours at the Hard Rock as well?..i've been breaking my head over this..lol..i dont want to inconvenience my guests..but the best thing i could come up with is to have cocktail hour right after the ceremony then have the guest go up to their rooms to freshen up/change then have the reception ....i think thats what i will go by but we'll see..

We are getting married at HRPC. We are also doing the cocktail hour immediately following, but are not sure of what we will do after that point. All I can say is that there are several things that people can do at the resort so don't feel too bad about it. It is a destination wedding and you do it for flexibility. I would just make people aware of it as early as possible through your website.

How many people are you expecting?

I'm getting married there in April and our ceremony is @ 1 pm with Rick york for 30 mins and then we are hosting a cocktail party for 2 hours then our wedding boat is coming to et us at 4 pm . I think people are pretty relaxed while on vacation and won't be so uptight about timelines for the day and most might appreciate having the down time between ceremony and reception perhaps offer apps and cockles for people who choose to hang around and you will be ettng free private parties with the amount of guests you have coming :)

We also booked the boat, but for our "rehearsal" dinner. We wanted to do something a little different for our guest away from the resort. Flori has been amazing to work with, she is very punctual with responding to e-mail. The boat is also extremely reasonable for what you get. I couldn't find an excursion that would cost us less so we went with the boat.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
