Group bookings at Dreams Riviera Cancun

Recommended Posts

I was hoping someone might be able to provide with some guidance/suggestions... My fiancée and I will be getting married at Dreams Riviera Cancun in April 2013. The wedding itself is booked and we've had great service from our wedding coordinator. We are expecting a fairly large number of guests (between 30 and 50 guests). My concern is around group bookings. We are hoping to secure some sort of group discount for our guests. We have contacted the group booking people four times (3 voicemail messages and 1 email) and they have not gotten back to us at all. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on who we should be contacting or how we should go about this? Are we doing something wrong? I've got to say that I'm disappointed that the resort isn't being helpful about this. We are potentially bringing a large amount of business their way. Thanks!!!!

Hi,

I have found the best option is to find a travel agent/destination wedding specialist who will do the negotiating and travel for guests on your behalf.  Most dont charge, depending on what you want them to do, as they get kick backs from the resort... Personally I just googled a bunch then had conversations with the people and chose who I liked :)

Hope that helps

You might want to try one of the BDW Travel Agents.  We Specialize in Destination weddings especially at Dreams Riviera Cancun (I was a Dreams Cabo bride ;).  You can contact us HERE!

If you do not know what TA you want to work with, just fill out the form Contact a Destination Wedding Specialist HERE and I will direct you to the best agent that fits your needs.

Dreams Riviera Cancun is currently running the 3G promo which is book 5 rooms get the 6th free in addition to upgrades.  Also, just so you know, April is already booked full for some dates so you need to move quickly to secure your rooms before the hotel is sold out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
